Gemma Atkinson insists she’s ‘absolutely not’ having any more children with Gorka Marquez: ‘All he has to do is bump his hips and I’m pregnant’
Gemma Atkinson has insisted she has no plans to have any more children after the birth of her second child in July.
The TV and radio star welcomed her son Thiago, a brother to Mia, four, in July.
But she has declared that ‘two is the magic number’ and joked that she won’t let her Strictly Come Dancing star partner Gorka Márquez near her again.
Speaking on Fleur East’s Hits Radio Breakfast Show on Thursday, Gemma joked: ‘Two is the magic number in our house. I won’t go near him (Gorka) anymore.’
“I don’t dare – he’s sticking his hips from across the room and I’m pregnant, so not anymore!”
Just two: Gemma Atkinson has insisted she has no plans to have any more children with partner Gorka Marquez after the birth of her second child in July
Gemma further admitted that she found the jump from one to two children much easier than from zero to one.
“Everyone said your second is a lot easier in some ways and I understand that now: they just fit into your routine,” she explained.
‘I mean, there are days when I haven’t washed my hair in days and it’s dry shampoo, and then there are days when Thiago is doing the school run in his babygro and hasn’t been changed yet, but it’s organized chaos and it’s fun . ‘
Gemma, who has just launched her new podcast The Overshare, was also asked what she thinks about Gorka’s new Strictly partner – stunning radio star Nikita Kanda.
“Everyone asks if I care who he has as a partner, but my first question is: where are they located?!” she explained.
“I think he could do the rhumba with Miss World, as long as she’s near the house and he can get back in time for the school run!”
But this year, juggling Gorka’s Strictly schedule with family life is proving a little trickier.
“Unfortunately Nikita is lovely but she lives in London so it’s exhausting and it’s a lot of juggling but I love that he gets to do what he wants to do and he loves it,” she explained.

‘And now Mia gets to watch Strictly on Saturday nights, which makes it all worth seeing her face when she sees him in his pink glitter top. She loves it!’
Gorka has previously admitted he was considering quitting Strictly Come Dancing after missing out on time with Thiago.
Just days after the birth of his son, Gorka had to leave his family in Manchester to head to London to begin rehearsals for the upcoming 2023 series of Strictly.
In last week’s episode of their reality show Gemma and Gorka: Life Behind the Lens, Gorka opened up about how he thought about quitting Strictly to be with his family.
