A serial stalker was filmed leaning out of windows and trying to break into a family’s homes in the early hours of the morning.

Home security cameras show terrifying footage of what appears to be the same man trying to open the front doors. in Rippleside, Bell Park and Bell Post Hill in Geelong, west of Melbourne, between January 31 and February 3.

In a video, which was shared on social media on Saturday, the stranger could be seen wearing an Adidas hoodie and sweatpants, a wide-brimmed hat, a face mask and gloves.

About seven residents have reported encounters with the offender.

A mysterious man has been caught snooping and tried to gain access to several houses in Geelong.

Scott Holbrook, who lives in Rippleside with his wife and two young children and owns a home security company, uploaded CCTV footage of the man walking to his front door and trying to look inside.

Holbrook told Daily Mail Australia that he was aware of neighbors who had seen the mystery man on their cameras.

“I’m in this industry because we were robbed when we first moved in; a lot of my neighbors had pictures of it, it was a matter of time before it hit our driveway,” she said.

I think he’s just looking under the rug for keys and exploring the place. He never goes for cars or anything.

Holbrook said the man appeared to be “nosing around” and was “moving rather nonchalantly with his hands behind his back.”

“Knowing that they have been on your property and you don’t know what their intentions are… The invasion of privacy is concerning,” he told the outlet. Geelong Advertiser.

Another resident, who did not want to be named, said he woke up at 4 a.m. Friday to his dog barking.

The dog’s behavior was unusual, the homeowner said, because she only barks when someone walks by.

The man said the stalker seemed ‘calm’ and still tried to gain access to his home even as his dog started barking and the sensor light came on.

He eventually walked away when he couldn’t get in.

Victoria Police told Daily Mail Australia they were looking into the matter.

“Police are aware of multiple reports of a suspicious person seen in the Rippleside and Bell Post Hill areas between January 31 and February 3.”

The investigation is ongoing.
