Gayle King shares TMI confession about her bedroom habits

Gayle King opened up about her bedroom habits during a candid interview on Thursday’s episode of The Drew Barrymore Show.

The TV personality, 69 – who previously spoke out about her dating problems months earlier – revealed whether she wears pajamas to bed while chatting with Barrymore, 49, in a video shared with Instagram decision makers page.

“I always sleep in a big old worn-out T-shirt, but I don’t like wearing underwear,” the journalist admitted. ‘Cause I like to feel the wind down there. At night, yes.’

Drew agreed with King’s admission and said she had given similar advice to her own daughters: Olive, 12, and Frankie, 10.

“I always told the girls, they’re going to be so shocked by this, but I thought, ‘You’ve got to let it breathe.’

She continued, “Let’s take a breather. With those diapers with you all the time? Nuh-uh. We’re just going to walk around and whatever happens, happens. And yes, women need to feel the wind.”

Elsewhere during the interview, Drew revealed to Gayle that she will sometimes get naked when she is home alone.

‘That’s how I roll. If there is no one in the house, not even the children – who are going to spend the night with their father – I sleep naked.’

The Charlie’s Angels actress added: ‘I love it. I lock all the doors and parade around like a little J Bird.”

Social media users shared their thoughts during the candid chat, with one fan simply typing “TMI” in the comments section of the clip.

It comes months after King discussed her dating problems during an appearance on The Tamron Hall Show back in May.

When asked about her dating life and whether she might have someone special, the CBS host explained, “If I could go on a dating app and people wouldn’t know it was me, I would.”

“But I think it’s hard when you’re a public person,” she added, before revealing that she wouldn’t mind being set up by a friend.

In regards to what she was looking for, the age expressed by the star was important and she didn’t want to date someone too young. “I don’t want to date someone who could have given me their life,” Gayle said.

When asked if there was a specific age range, King said she said, “I’d like it to start with a 5, and I don’t want to be a nurse or a handbag.” I don’t want that.’

‘You know what I mean. I [would] nice that they have all their teeth. That would be nice. Because it’s not really about money, guys.’

‘It’s about someone who has his own company, his own thing. They have a lot of confidence in their own skin. You know, I remember my ex once said to me, “I’ll be tired when Gail King’s beep is over.”

She added, “So you want someone who celebrates you, who is excited for you, who is very comfortable in their own skin. And that is very difficult. But no pity party for me. I’m doing really well.’

The star was previously married to William Bumpus from 1982 to 1993 – and the couple have two children: daughter Kirby and son William Jr.

“I think we shared pretty much everything and I would have to say it wasn’t even a matter of navigation,” Winfrey said at the time.

“For years, people said we were gay, and listen, we dealt with that forever. And maybe people still think that.’

In response, Gayle added that she had asked Oprah in the past to clarify that they were not gay because she struggled “to get a date on a Saturday night without people thinking they were together.”

During her appearance on The Drew Barrymore Show on Thursday, King also had the chance to take part in a special holiday segment.

The TV personality showed off some of Oprah’s favorite things to recommend Christmas gift ideas.

One of the items King displayed was a $49 box from Chocolate Therapy, which contained a “trio nut bark collection.”

Drew and Gayle then talked about attending holiday parties and how they often forget to bring a gift for the host.

However, King revealed that she would always send the host a gift afterward, such as a throw, explaining, “You can never have enough throws.”
