Gary Oldman, 65, kisses wife Gisele Schmidt, 61, as they pack on the PDA while relaxing on a yacht in Capri

Gary Oldman and his wife Gisele Schmidt looked as in love as ever when they put up a display full of PDAs while vacationing in Capri, Italy, on Saturday.

The actor, 65, leaned in to plant a kiss on his wife’s lips as they sat on the back of a yacht before stepping out to explore the Italian island.

Gary was dressed in a black T-shirt that he paired with a denim jacket and green linen pants and black Converse.

The Canadian resident wore his gray hair in a ponytail while shielding his eyes with sunglasses and carrying his belongings in a red leather backpack.

Gisele, 61, a writer, opted for a relaxed holiday look in a white T-shirt and black trousers.

Gisele wore a black bag over her body and was equipped with a camera, ready to document their journey.

Gary and Gisele were joined by some friends on the boat when the group left the yacht together.

The Darkest Hour star appeared to be taking it easy after announcing his plans to retire when his role in Slow Horses comes to an end.

Gary explained that he doesn’t want to be “active” in his 80s, talking about his desire to “hang up his acting shoes” and focus on “other interests” later in life.

Speak with The times in November, Gary, who played pivotal characters from Winston Churchill to Sid Vicious, said, ‘Next year I’m 65, 70 is just around the corner. I don’t want to be active when I’m 80.’

Referring to his role in the spy drama Slow Horses, Gary said, “I’d be thrilled, honored and privileged to go out as Jackson Lamb — and then hang it.”

Gary was clearly grateful for his Hollywood star rise: “I’ve had an enviable career, but careers are on the decline, and I have other things that interest me besides acting. When you’re young you think you can do them all – read that book – and then the years go by.’

The three-time BAFTA Award winner has been in the industry for four decades.

Gary’s retirement flip came just months after he revealed he feels “addicted to work” and had no plans to “wrap it up” anytime soon.

Gary, who plays the group’s leader, said he feels an affinity for Jackson because although the character wants to run away to his life, he can’t because he’s too attached.

Speaking The Chris Evans breakfast show with Sky On Virgin Radio, Gary said: ‘I think Lamb gives the world the impression that he doesn’t care, and maybe, just maybe, he cares more than most.

“Maybe he’s trying to pack it all up. He’s treading water a bit and looking at the clock until he retires.

“But like many of us who might occasionally feel like running away and packing everything up, we’re kind of addicted to what we’re doing.”

Based on the 2010 novel of the same name by Mick Herron, Slow Horses follows a team of British intelligence agents now working in the M15’s dumping division after making some career-ending mistakes.

Gary’s acting career will go down in history and he is currently the tenth highest grossing actor in the industry, second Briton behind Michael Caine.

In 2018, Gary swept the awards shelves, taking Best Actor awards at the Oscars, Golden Globes and SAGs for his portrayal of Churchill in Darkest Hour.

At the time, he said it was an “honour in itself” to be recognized for playing the iconic Conservative wartime prime minister.

Gary is known for his “versatile and intense” acting style and his films have grossed over $11 billion worldwide.

The star undoubtedly hopes to spend his final years with his fifth wife Gisele, whom he married six years ago in 2017.

Gary was married to Lesley Manville from 1987 to 1990, Uma Thurman from 1990 to 1992, Donya Fiorentino from 1997 to 2001, and Alexandra Edenborough from 2008 to 2015.
