Gary Neville tears into Gabby Agbonlahor for slagging him off

‘He criticizes me EVERY week on the radio… it really pisses me off’: Gary Neville yells at Gabby Agbonlahor, calling the former Aston Villa star a ‘blameless bitch’ for claiming he was his favorite opponent

  • Gary Neville regularly marked Gabby Agbonlahor when he faced Aston Villa
  • Agbonlahor has previously suggested on talkSPORT that he loved taking on Neville.
  • The former Man United star has now responded to the ‘cheeky b*****d’ in a live show

Gary Neville has been quick to criticize Gabby Agbonlahor, who has chafed at the TalkSPORT pundit’s constant criticism.

Neville and Agbonlahor were familiar enemies from their playing days when Manchester United took on Aston Villa and the former United star’s dislike came to light during a live taping of The Overlap in Dublin.

“He criticizes me every week on that radio show,” Neville raged, after Roy Keane had jokingly singled out Agbonlahor as his toughest opponent.

“I get tagged on Twitter and it really pisses me off, honestly.”

Agbonlahor hasn’t made many friends since he became a prominent voice on the radio, with Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp among his most vocal critics, along with Neville.

Gary Neville (left) has labeled Gabby Agbonlahor (right) a ‘cheeky bitch’ for her comments.

Agbonlahor previously suggested that he enjoyed playing Neville while at Aston Villa.

However, it is Agbonlahor’s claim that he enjoyed playing former right-back Neville that irritated him the most.

They’ll ask you who the player you’d most like to play against is and you’ll say, “You know what? It was Gary Neville at Manchester United.” Damn cheeky. You haven’t won one against us in 25 years!’

The crowd of 10,000, along with Keane and Jamie Carragher, thoroughly enjoyed Neville’s defeat of the former England striker.

It’s not the first time that Neville hasn’t minced when it comes to Agbonlahor.

During Sky Sports’ half-time analysis of Tottenham against Aston Villa in November 2015, Neville gutted Agbonlahor at half-time.

“Gabriel Agbonlahor as center forward… I had to review because this doesn’t look good,” he said. ‘Eight touches in the first half…and 2 of them are center kicks!’

And it’s not just Gary Neville who’s having trouble with the talkSPORT pundit: his brother Phil had a Twitter spat with him last year.

The pair rowed online after the former Villa striker claimed the England team was full of cliques and David Beckham was not speaking to anyone.

Phil Neville made 59 caps for England between 1996 and 2007, while Agbonlahor was capped three times between 2008 and 2009, meaning they were never with the Three Lions at the same time.

Neville countered that Agbonlahor has never beaten him in 25 tries and those comments irritate him.

Last year, Phil Neville slammed Agbonlahor after claiming that David Beckham didn’t talk to anyone when he was on international duty for England and that the team was full of cliques.

Neville claimed that Agbonlahor’s recollection of his time with the England team was “Wow! ¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡

Agbonlahor then hit back at Neville and criticized his managerial record with Inter Miami.

Agbonlahor made the England squad on just five occasions, being part of a group that included a number of England’s ‘Golden Generation’ players such as Rio Ferdinand, Beckham, Frank Lampard and Steven Gerrard.

Phil Neville then shared the Agbonlahor clip on Twitter and simply said, “ALL BS this!!!”

Agbonlahor then responded to Neville on Twitter, saying: ‘We get it Phil! Let the bosses return!! You didn’t play for England after 2007?

Before I started going to England teams!! Maybe focus on winning a few games in the mls and get off Twitter.
