Gary Neville and Paul Scholes shared a hilarious conversation as they enjoyed a night out with friends over a Christmas meal.

The former Man United duo have remained close friends since retiring from playing, while also being business partners as investors in Salford City.

Scholes and Neville were two of United's most celebrated players, with the pair having won numerous titles together during their time at the club, including the Premier League, Champions League and FA Cup.

Such is their friendship that Neville was on hand to record an awkward moment with Scholes as the duo dined at a swanky restaurant.

Scholes, 49, was serenaded by live music as singer, cello player and saxophonist made their way through the venue before standing next to the United legend.

Scholes looked uncomfortable as the song continued to play as Christmas crackers decorated the round table he was sitting at and had a message for Marcel after it was noticed he was being recorded.

The Englishman turned to Marcel and showed his middle finger to the camera, causing a burst of laughter from Marcel, who later posted the clip to his Instagram account.
