Little Levi suffers from a mysterious degenerative disease that seriously affects his respiratory system and he has never spoken a word.
Jordan recently shared an update on the health of the couple’s four-year-old son as he battles a degenerative disease.
In an interview with The Significant Others podcast in March, Jordan spoke about the family’s heartbreak after Levi was diagnosed with a degenerative disease.
Jordan, who has not revealed what disease Levi has been diagnosed with, revealed in April last year that it is unlikely he will ever learn to talk.
“It’s very difficult from a practical point of view, but also very difficult just being his mother and not being able to hear his voice or know what he needs,” she told The Herald Sun in an emotional interview.
“If he gets angry I have to guess what the problem is,” continued Jordan, who has been married to AFL legend Gary since 2016.
“It’s hard too because I would like to just hear his thoughts, have a conversation with my son and know that he understands how much we love him.”
Gary and his wife of eight years also share a daughter Grace, who they welcomed in 2021.
Gary Jr. was an all-time great player for AFL teams Geelong and the Gold Coast from 2002 to 2020.
Jordan said it took a long time for Levi to be diagnosed with the unspecified illness, and described the devastation she and Gary felt after learning the condition was ‘life-threatening’.
Gary, 38, and his wife of eight years, Jordan, announced in January that they are expecting their third child.
On Levi’s birthday, the mother shared a photo of her eldest child, happily holding an image of her ultrasound.
“The birthday boy or girl wants to share the gift we received as a family,” she wrote.
“Congratulations my little man, I am grateful for every day I get to spend with you.”
“There’s a very short life expectancy, and that’s why I tell people all the time when they ask about Levi that we’re literally taking it day by day because we have no idea what the future holds,” Jordan said.
