Garth Brooks DENIES rape accusations after shock lawsuit by wife’s makeup artist

Garth Brooks has denied the rape allegations against him, calling it a “hush money” shakedown.

The country star, 62, was accused of assault and battery in a complaint filed Thursday in a California state court by a makeup artist who worked for his wife Trisha Yearwood.

Hours later, Brooks responded to the allegations. “Over the past two months, I have been endlessly harassed with threats, lies and tragic stories about what my future would be if I did not write a multi-million dollar check,” he said in a statement to CNN.

‘Hush money, no matter how much or how little it is, is still hush money. In my eyes, this means admitting to behavior that I am not capable of doing: ugly acts that no human being should ever do to another,” he added.

“We filed suit against this individual almost a month ago to speak out against extortion and defamation of character. We submitted it anonymously, in the interest of the families on both sides.”

Brooks said the situation “was like waving a loaded gun in my face,” in another statement Term.

He added: “I want to play music tonight. I want to continue our good deeds in the future. It breaks my heart that these wonderful things are now up for debate. I trust the system, I am not afraid of the truth, and I am not the man they have portrayed me to be.”

The accuser, who filed anonymously under the name “Jane Roe,” claims the country icon took her to Los Angeles in May 2019 for a Grammy event honoring R&B singer Sam Moore.

In the lawsuit, the plaintiff claims that the Friends in Low Places singer only booked one hotel suite for the two of them there, and when she requested separate accommodations, he would not provide it.

She accuses him of then accosting her naked in the doorway, dragging her into another room, dangling her upside down by her ankles and raping her, according to court documents obtained by Dailymail.com.

Before the makeup artist filed her lawsuit, Brooks was aware of her allegations and filed to fight back anonymously, using the name “John Doe,” as reported by CNN.

“Jane Roe” was originally hired to do hair and makeup for Yearwood in 1999, and Brooks eventually brought her in to do it for him in 2017, she claims.

In her new lawsuit, the makeup artist claims that Brooks would send her sexually explicit text messages, tell her about his sexual fantasies and discuss sex with her.

She also accuses him of exposing his buttocks and genitals to her more than once and of repeatedly changing clothes in her presence.

According to the makeup artist’s complaint, Brooks allegedly made advances at her home in 2019, before the trip to Los Angeles, when she says the rape occurred.

She claims she was at Brooks’ home, waiting for him to meet her so she could apply his makeup, when he emerged from the shower, naked and upright.

She claims he then “grabbed her hands and forced them” to have his erection, telling her he harbored fantasies of her giving him a blowjob while wearing her glasses until he finally came on her face.

The makeup artist accuses Brooks of raping her later that year when they traveled to Los Angeles for his performance at the Sam Moore tribute.

In her lawsuit, “Jane Roe” claims that she and Brooks did not typically travel alone together, but the trip to Los Angeles was an exception.

“There were usually others on Brooks’ private jet, but this time Ms. Roe and Brooks were the only two passengers,” the complaint states. “Once in Los Angeles at the hotel, Ms. Roe could not believe that Brooks had booked a one-bedroom hotel suite and that she did not have a separate room.”

She is said to have voiced her objections to the arrangement and asked for a room of her own, but she claims Brooks is unwilling to budge on the matter.

At the hotel, she claims, he appeared “completely naked in the bedroom doorway,” and she felt “locked in the room alone with Brooks.”

The accuser, said to be about five feet tall, claims he grabbed her by the ankles and held her upside down while he raped her vaginally.

The makeup artist accuses Brooks of pushing himself into her so violently that she “felt like she was breaking in half,” according to legal documents.

She continued to work on his hair and makeup throughout the trip because she needed the job because of her financial problems, she says, adding that Brooks allegedly exploited her circumstances to his advantage.

She accuses Brooks of fondling her breasts while she applied makeup to him – despite telling him not to – and of masturbating after she was done.

In her lawsuit, the make-up artist claims that after the alleged rape, Brooks continued to grope her more often and tell her his sexual fantasies more often than before.

Brooks allegedly made “repeated comments” about “having a threesome” with Yearwood and the makeup artist, prosecutors said.

The accuser alleged in court documents that she clashed with the Tulsa, Oklahoma, resident over a May 2020 incident in which he spoke with her, Yearwood and his manager about inventing a shampoo bottle that would function as a sex toy.

Brooks was visibly furious when she declined to comment on the sexually charged discussion, the prosecutor said.

She said she messaged him via text message and email that she could not “work in an environment where explicit sexual comments are made about shampoo bottles that double as dildos.”

Brooks told her in response that she was “thinking through” the issue and that Yearwood was not “uncomfortable” with the tenor of the discussion, the plaintiff said in the lawsuits.

The accuser alleged in court documents that in another incident in 2020, Brooks “took her phone and deleted most of the text messages he had sent to her” while she was working with him in a studio.
