Garcelle Beauvais visited The Jennifer Hudson Show on Tuesday and talked about her role as a castmate on The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills.
The 57-year-old actress called the reality TV gig the “hardest job she’s ever done.”
Since joining the Bravo TV series for season 13 in 2020, she admitted it has been a challenging adjustment.
“As an actor you can hide behind a character,” she explained to 42-year-old Hudson. “But when you’re on a reality show, it’s all you.
“It’s you, it’s your family, it’s your house. So sometimes, you know… someone can dig up something or say something that gets under your skin and it hurts.”

And as for dating while starring on a hit show, she said, “That’s tough because not everyone wants to be on a reality show.
She added, “But I have a full life. When the man comes, he comes.”
Despite the obstacles that come with broadcasting her life on national television, Garcelle still finds the work “fun.”
“The best part is we have a lot of fun,” she noted.
“When we’re not being catty and shading each other, it’s really fun,” she insisted. “And the ridiculousness of how we dress, where we go… I mean, ball gowns for lunch if you want. So it’s fun.’
The Haitian-American beauty, who starred on The Jamie Foxx Show in the late 1990s, looked stylish in a powder blue pantsuit for her appearance on the talk show.
She amped up the look with a shimmering stone-covered choker worn around her neck.
And the mother-of-three’s red hair was straight, styled in the middle and ironed straight.

Beauvais has had a heated confrontation with co-star Dorit Kemsley in the latest episodes of the show
It comes after Beauvais had an intense discussion about racism during last week’s episode of Real Housewives of Beverly Hills.
The drama started in the previous episode when co-star Dorit Kemsley said she felt “attacked” by Garcelle while defending herself for “embarrassing” their fellow castmate Sutton Stracke for kissing her driver.
“Dorit lives a little bit in a bubble, it just triggers me,” Garcelle said in a confessional at the time.
“We live in a woke world now, whatever you want to say, and I feel like she’s not in that world.”
