The finale is a multiplayer FPS where players step into the shoes of a game show contestant and “compete for global fame and the support of our demanding and stylish sponsors.” They must battle it out in virtual arenas inspired by real-life locations such as Seoul and Monaco, where virtually anything can be destroyed, adding to the immersion and dynamism of the action.
Game modes include the frenetic 3v3v3 Quick Cash, which requires players to break into a vault and then transport the loot to a payout point on the map while battling it out against other trios of players. There's also the more casually focused Bank-It mode, which pits four teams of three against each other as they try to collect as many coins as possible.
In October, gamers on all major current-gen platforms (PlayStation 5, Xbox Series open cross-play beta. It was also incredibly successful, with around 7.5 million players log in to see what all the fuss was about.
Here at Ny Breaking Gaming, editor-in-chief Jake Tucker was a big fan of it The finale during the open beta period, noting that this is the case “the most fun I've had in a multiplayer shooter all year.” He added: “The finale deserves to be huge, and the frantic battles are truly incredible.”
In fact, the only major issue players noticed in the open beta was its usage clunky-sounding AI-generated voice lines for The finalecommentators. The developers previously described AI as an “extremely powerful” tool, turning recording and adding voice lines into “a matter of hours instead of months.” However, at the time of writing this article, it is not clear whether these AI-generated clips will be included in the final version of the game.
