Gabrielle Union and her stepdaughter Zaya Wade made a stylish duo when they hit the red carpet at the GLAAD Awards in Los Angeles on Thursday.
The actress, 50, dazzled in a form-fitting, beaded gown that showed off her toned arms, and featured a high neckline and elegant head cap.
Meanwhile, 15-year-old Zaya, who was recently granted a legal name and gender change, looked stylish in a black blazer and shorts, along with white boots and a matching bag.
While on the red carpet, Gabrielle opened up about her support for the LGBTQ+ community and what it meant to her to have Zaya as her date at the event.
“For her to see so many members of her community, of our community, who she has admired, who have inspired her, who have held her up, who have supported her, is quite great and there are not too many moments where as a parent I can convey that in this way, so I’m very excited,” she said. Billboard.
