G Herbo will be sentenced at a hearing on November 7 and face up to 25 years in prison.

Prosecutors said the rapper and a promoter named Antonio Strong shared stolen information from illegal websites via emails, text messages and social media during a period from March 2017 to November 2018.

In one case, people’s stolen credit card information was used by the rapper to pay for a chartered jet flight from Chicago to Austin, Texas, prosecutors said.

On another occasion, the information was used to pay for a six-bedroom Jamaican villa that cost nearly $15,000 to rent for several days.

G Herbo “used the proceeds of this fraud to travel to various concert venues and to advance his career by posting photos and/or videos of himself on the private jets, in the exotic cars and in the Jamaican villa,” prosecutors said in a statement. the court documents reviewed by the AP.

G Herbo was charged with lying to investigators in May 2021 when he said he had no connection with Strong, even though the pair had been working together for years, officials said.

Strong has entered a plea of ​​not guilty and is awaiting trial in connection with the credit card case.
