Future Queen of Norway’s son Marius Borg Høiby breaches his restraining order AGAIN after leaving rehab in London – as tearaway ‘royal’ awaits trial for rape and assault charges

The son of the future Queen of Norway is in trouble again after breaching a restraining order against one of his alleged victims.

Marius Borg Hoiby, often referred to as the ‘black sheep’ of Norway’s royal family, is currently awaiting trial on charges of rape and domestic violence.

After leaving rehab in London, Crown Prince Haakon’s stepson is said to have contacted one of the women, violating the terms of the order, Norwegian media said.

It is not clear whether Hoiby has been arrested again.

His first arrest was on August 4 for assault. He was then arrested again on September 13 for another alleged assault and a third time in November for rape.

At the end of last month, Hoiby was released after being arrested on suspicion of rape.

The 27-year-old – who has been charged with a second rape – was banned from receiving visitors and letters while in custody due to the risk of tampering with evidence. NRK reported.

PPolice have said they will not seek further arrest of Borg Høiby as they believe there is no longer a risk of evidence being lost or destroyed.

The police reportedly requested that Borg Høiby be held for two weeks, but according to the local newspaper he was only held for one week. See and Hor.

They also reported that he was issued two new restraining orders. Speaking about Borg Høiby’s release, his lawyer Øyvind Bratlien told NRK: ‘This was not surprising. He shouldn’t have been in jail at all. I think it was wrong, I won’t say more.’

Oslo police have also opened an investigation into a new allegation of a sex crime, for which he has not been charged. NRK reported. Details about the new allegations were not immediately available.

Borg Høiby is the stepson of the heir to the Norwegian throne, Crown Prince Haakon, and the son of Crown Princess Mette-Marit from a previous relationship. He has no royal title or official duties.

He was arrested in Oslo last week on charges of “sexual intercourse with someone who is unconscious or otherwise unable to resist the act.”

A preliminary indictment precedes a formal indictment and allows authorities to detain suspects during an investigation.

Police at the time did not say when the alleged rape had occurred, but only that “the victim was unable to resist the act.” Norwegian media reported that Borg Høiby has denied the accusation.

“Marius is facing serious charges, which the police and the judiciary will deal with… I am convinced that they will do a good job,” Prince Haakon told public broadcaster NRK last week before the arrest warrant.

Speaking about the second charge, police lawyer Andreas Kruszewski had said that it “concerns sexual intercourse without consent with a woman who is incapable of resisting the act.”

Investigators searched and seized items from Borg Høiby’s home. The police investigation is still ongoing and no trial date has yet been set.

Since his arrest, a shocking video of Borg Høiby has been shared with the Norwegian publication See and hearin which the former mechanic reportedly illustrates how he ended the relationship with an ex.

In the clip, Borg Høiby is asked, “How did you break up with your last girlfriend?” He shrugs and then leans forward toward the camera while making a clapping gesture with his hands.

It is not known when the video was recorded, but it is said to have been published in a group within Borg Høiby’s own network, which consists of around 50 people.

Borg Høiby’s lawyer, Bratlien, said his client was innocent and was against being held in preventive detention.

Bratlien said he would appeal the detention ruling, but welcomed the fact that the judges had not granted the police’s request for two weeks of detention. “We view this as promising,” he said in a written statement to NRK.

The rape charge comes after he was accused of bodily harm following a late-night argument on August 4 at the Oslo apartment of a woman he was dating, police said.

Norwegian media reported that police at the time found a knife in one of the woman’s bedroom walls.

Borg Høiby admitted in a later statement to the media that he had caused her bodily harm while under the influence of cocaine and alcohol, and that he had damaged her apartment. He said he regretted his actions.

Borg Høiby was arrested again in September for violating a restraining order.

When he was arrested last Monday, police say he was in a car with the alleged victim of the August incident.

Borg Høiby was raised by the royal couple along with his step-siblings, Princess Ingrid Alexandra, 20, and Prince Sverre Magnus, 18. Unlike them, however, he has no official public role.

The Norwegian royal family was shocked by the first arrest of Borg Høiby in early August, after a woman – Rebecca Helberg Arntsen – was left in hospital with her injuries following an attack.

A week after his arrest, Borg Høiby admitted to the attack on Rebecca, whom he called his “girlfriend” (her lawyers have refuted this claim).

In a statement issued through his own lawyer, Borg Høiby said he suffers from “several mental disorders” and has “long struggled with substance abuse,” for which he said he is resuming treatment.

The statement read: “Last weekend something happened that should never have happened. I caused bodily harm and destroyed property in an apartment under the influence of alcohol and cocaine after an argument.

‘I have several mental health disorders, which means I have had and continue to have challenges throughout my upbringing and adult life. I have struggled with substance abuse for a long time, something for which I have sought treatment in the past.

“The drug use and my diagnoses do not excuse what happened at Frogner’s apartment last Sunday. I want to be responsible for what I did and will explain myself honestly to the police.

‘For me, the most important thing is that I say sorry to my girlfriend. She deserved neither what happened that night nor the extreme pressure from both the Norwegian and foreign press afterwards.”

Mette-Marit’s eldest son has also apologized to his family for his actions, which “have affected you greatly.”

Weeks later, the 27-year-old was arrested after violating a restraining order.

The restraining order in question was to protect Rebecca Helberg Arntsen, who Borg Høiby admitted assaulting herself during a drink and drug-fueled attack on August 4, which saw him arrested for the first time and held in a police cell overnight .
