Fury road! Anya-Taylor Joy looks stony-faced after Furiosa leading man Chris Hemsworth walks her through a puddle during Mad Max prequel’s press tour in rainy Sydney

Chris Hemsworth proved chivalry isn’t dead as he led his Furiosa co-star Anya Taylor-Joy through Sydney’s rainy CBD during the Australian leg of their press tour on Wednesday.

But his brave attempt to escort Taylor-Joy to their waiting car failed when he led her straight through a puddle in his haste and soaked the train of her dress.

The blonde actress, 28, didn’t seem particularly thrilled about her dress getting wet and maintained a stony expression throughout the ordeal.

Taylor-Joy, known for her striking facial features and impeccable style, was dressed to impress in a luxurious deep red satin dress that trailed gracefully behind her.

The dress, which fit her figure perfectly, featured a sophisticated one-shoulder design, which added an extra touch of glamor to her look despite the gloomy weather.

Her outfit was completed with a bold gold cuff bracelet, which added a touch of sparkle.

Hemsworth, 40, opted for a more relaxed look, wearing a loose olive green jacket over a simple white T-shirt paired with gray trousers and chunky brown boots.

Taylor-Joy is busy promoting her role as the title character in the upcoming action film Furiosa: A Mad Max Saga.

The sighting comes after the film’s director George Miller revealed his assessment of the performances of his leading actors Taylor-Joy and Hemsworth.

The veteran filmmaker, 79, recently appeared on the Warner Bros. 2024 CinemaCon in Las Vegas and jokingly said they were so good he had a hard time recognizing them without a costume.

“To me, they’re complete frauds after spending a year in the cutting room,” he said.

Both Chris and Anya appear unrecognizable in the trailer for the upcoming film, with Chris transforming into villain Dementus with shaggy, shoulder-length hair, an overgrown beard and a prosthetic nose.

Meanwhile, Anya has matted hair and a dirty face in trailers, making her look a far cry from her usual glamorous self.

Miller added that both actors had the perfect combination of charisma and stamina to successfully tackle the demanding roles.

“Anya is determined, disciplined and very smart,” he said.
