- The passenger shared the annoying crowds with a Reddit post
- One woman pretended to be injured before revealing she was fine
- On the Reddit poster, she joked that they're winning “the award” for best airline dupe
A passenger has shared a story after she was 'duped' into giving up her seat for a woman who pretended to be injured, only to discover she was completely fine.
'Call me a loser. You are so right. This is what happened,” the irate passenger began sending the mail to the Delta subreddit.
The unnamed woman explained as they boarded the Delta flight and headed to her seat on the bus, where she sat in the aisle.
“The window seat to their right was occupied by a man and the middle seat was empty,” she explained. “I had an aisle seat (the seat I like).”

After settling in, an apparently injured woman came with a sling on her left arm.
“She cringes and pretends to be in terrible pain,” the Reddit poster explained.
“She stops at my row, tells me she's in the middle seat, and asks if I want to switch places with her so she can have more room for her injured arm,” she recalls.
Although irritated, the affable airman groaned 'inwardly' and agreed to move up and switch seats to the middle.
However, she was shocked to discover that she had been dripped by the woman, who apparently pretended to be injured.
“We take off and before I know it, she's taken off her sling, she's got a smile on her face and she's moving her arm freely,” she recalled in disbelief.
The journey only got worse from there, with the passengers on either side of the Reddit user apparently in cahoots with each other.
'Then she starts talking to the man next to me at the window, who turns out to be her companion!!!' she exclaimed in disbelief.
Reddit users were in disbelief at the post, with many suggesting ways to get the woman back to her assigned seat
“The rest of the flight they're talking over me and passing things back and forth on me,” she continued.
“Tell me, have any of you ever been so badly hurt on an airplane, or do I get the prize?” the Reddit user ended the incredible journey.
Other users were in disbelief at the post, with many suggesting ways to get the woman back to her assigned seat.
“Then you get a flight attendant, show them your ticket and say, 'They're in my seat,'” one user suggested.
'Jail!! I had considered saying, you know what, I changed my mind. We can trade back or I can ask the flight attendant to move you if you want,” another added.
Another simply responded, “no.”
“My answer will always be, 'I paid for this seat, I'm not that interested in giving it up,'” one user wrote.
