Furious mom of teen DUI suspect squares up to cop and the pair both end up getting arrested

This is the shocking moment a mother stood in front of a police officer and told another officer to 'hold my bag' as her son was arrested for drink driving.

The incident occurred on August 27 and appeared to have occurred in Clovis, New Mexico.

The unidentified male suspect, 19, was initially stopped by two police officers after they suspected she was driving while intoxicated.

Authorities administered a field sobriety test as he continued to curse at them and grab his phone to answer and call his mother.

As the test progressed, the 19-year-old's mother, who appeared to be drunk herself, arrived at the scene and became irate after being told her child would be arrested.

An unknown male suspect, 19, was stopped for a traffic violation and arrested for driving under the influence on August 27 in New Mexico

The driver's mother arrived on the scene when her son was arrested and charged with a police officer as he attempted to place her son in the patrol car

The video begins as an officer arrives on the scene to assist a sergeant near a restaurant called Bill's Jumbo Burgers.

As the assisting officer exits his vehicle, he watches the other officer perform a field sobriety test on the driver.

“He's trying to tell me I can't have my damn phone,” the teen tells the second officer.

“Well, why don't you put your phone down and do what the officer tells you,” the officer says.

“Yes sir, of course I have you,” says the driver in a black shirt and khaki pants as he puts his phone in his pocket.

The first officer then proceeds to tell the driver that he is going to begin the field sobriety test, while using his flashlight to direct the teen where to walk.

The young driver then points his hands in front of him and says: 'To this light, right?'

“It's not about anything, it's right behind your left foot,” the officer answers.

The teen then interrupts the officer and says, “Where is the line? I don't know where I'm walking unless I know where I'm walking.”

The second officer then said, “It's an imaginary straight line, okay?”

“Give me some ****** closeness,” says the ramp.

One officer then walks to the spot across from the teen to show him where they want him to walk.

“Stand where you want me to walk and I'll walk over,” the driver says.

“I know how to walk, I know how to walk, I know how to walk.”

He then continues walking and the officer in front of him tells him that he is not doing what they asked.

The driver then says: 'What do you want me to do? Do you want me to walk or do you want me to do something?'

“I want you to follow my instructions,” the officer says.

The officer then tells the suspect to place his right heel in front of his left foot as the driver begins to stumble a bit.

The mother grabbed the officer's back as he tried to get her son into the police car after handcuffing him

After the mother jumped the officer, she became angry at the other officer who pulled her away and threatened to fight him

'Look at me! Shall I remain like this officer?'

The driver continues to lose his balance and begins to slur his words before saying, “I'm not a cop. I only have to take nine steps, and that's a fact, right?'

“Listen to his instructions,” the other officer says as the driver looks at him.

The other officer opposite the teen then says, “Shut up.”

The driver replies: 'Shut up? Is that what you said?' He then takes his cell phone out of his pocket and starts recording the meeting.

“Because I don't deal with that stuff,” he says.

“Okay, that's all the more evidence that's going to be used against you,” the officer says.

The officer proceeds to tell the driver to keep his hands at his sides for the rest of the test, so the teen puts his phone in his waistband and continues recording.

The 19-year-old then places his hands in front of him, looks at the other officer and says, 'I don't have hands, do I? Look at my hands.'

He then puts his hands behind his back and tells the officers, “Put me down, put me down already. If you want to beat me, put me down already.”

'Who said that? That's not going to happen,” said one of the officers.

The teenage driver then says he will not proceed with the test when his mother arrives on the scene.

“Okay, then you're under arrest,” the officer says, grabbing the teen from behind with his hands still behind his back.

The mother then jumps into the altercation and says, “Hey, hey, hey, what's going on?”

The assisting officer then pulls her aside to talk to her about what is going on.

Before the teen decided not to complete his field sobriety test, he was having trouble walking and continued to slur his words to officers. He was charged with aggravated intoxication, resisting, eluding or obstructing an officer and improper equipment

The altercation took place outside a restaurant called Bill's Jumbo Burgers, located in Clovis, New Mexico

“First of all, your son has been drinking, he's drunk,” the officer says.

“I didn't drink, they have no experience of me drinking, bro,” says the teen in handcuffs.

The officer then tells the mother that her son refused to take the test and thinks they are going to beat him up.

He then tells her that her child is being arrested for drunk driving, while the mother looks sad and says, “No, please don't do this man.”

As she continues to plead, the officer handling her son takes him to the patrol car and her son kicks his feet against the side of the vehicle.

She charges at the officer and shouts, “Hey, hey, damn it, don't hit me, boy!”

The mother grabs the officer by the back as all three fall to the ground during the confrontation.

The other officer quickly takes her off the other officer and says, “Tell her not to touch that officer!”

The woman then lies on the ground, crying and hysterically screaming at the officer who pulled her away.

The mother says, “You fucking hit me, what the hell is wrong with you?”

As the officer explains to her that she laid hands on the other officer, she becomes even more emotional and begins stumbling her words and cursing.

'You touched him. You jumped on his back,” the officer says.

'I didn't hit him. No, I didn't,” she replies.

'Don't touch my child. Don't touch my damn child. You have some problems,” she says.

The mother begins to frantically search for items that she says fell from her purse during the physical altercation, while the officer she jumped on tries to help her locate her belongings.

She turns to the other officer and says, “Who hits a girl? What is your problem?'

“Your problem is that you're drunk,” the officer replies.

“Who cares if I'm fucking drunk? I don't care if I'm drunk. Don't fucking come and hit a *****,” she says.

The officer then says he didn't hit her before she gets up and stands up to face him.

“Don't blame me,” the officer says.

As the mother continued to plead not to have her son arrested, the officer handling her son took him to the car while the 19-year-old kicked the vehicle with his feet.

The mother was charged with fourth-degree assault on a police officer, resisting, evading or obstructing an officer, but one charge was dropped and another was amended.

'What are you? Who are you? Come on, come on,” the mother says as she lets the officer come to her and takes off her shoulder bag.

“Come here, you, hold my bag,” she says, handing her black bag to the other officer who doesn't take her bag.

“Or go in with him, come on, let's go,” she says, challenging the officer.

The video ends with the mother agreeing to pull over and talk to the other officer as she continues to shout and curse belligerently.

Then more patrol officers arrived and were told what happened as the mother and son were taken into the police car.

The mother was charged with fourth-degree assault on a police officer and resisting, evading or obstructing an officer.

Her son was charged with aggravated intoxication, resisting, eluding or obstructing an officer and improper equipment.

The woman's charge against an officer was dismissed and her charges of assault and resisting an officer were amended.

The cases against both suspects are still ongoing and it is unclear whether they will serve jail time.
