An enraged cat in a Kiev subway bomb shelter has gone viral when it flashed a look as if it wanted to kill Vladimir Putin as it rained rockets on the capital.

In the classic photo, Chloe the cat is wrapped in a pink blanket and throws one of her meanest looks, much to the delight of social media users around the world.

Igor Novikov, a former adviser to President Volodymyr Zelensky, shared the photo on his Twitter account, writing: “Chloe the cat in a bomb shelter in Kiev. We’re all Chloe the cat right now.”

Local news outlet United24.media said the image “captures the mood of the entire Ukrainian nation.”

The photo was also shared on the ukrainianwarcats Instagram account, which is full of adorable photos of soldiers hugging felines and looking adorable in otherwise sobering war scenes.

The photo was taken on the same day a nine-year-old girl, her mother and another woman were killed in a Russian missile strike on the capital.

Heavy airstrikes in Kiev on Monday left metro stations, including the main train station, Tetatralna, full of people, though many residents ignored the air raid sirens until they heard loud blasts in the city center.

On the same day, a Ukrainian couple who got married live on TV had to flee quickly to an air raid shelter because of the bombing.

Air defense fighter Oleksandr Tereshchenko, 34, married war paramedic Tetyana Snidanok on the 1+1 breakfast TV show.

The pair exchanged vows and sealed their marriage with a passionate kiss on camera before performing their first dance for presenters and technical staff in the studio.

But minutes later, they were forced to take cover along with several other residents when the all-too-familiar sound of air sirens began again, indicating that Putin had ordered more barbaric attacks on the capital.

Despite the terrifying attack on their country by Russia, the newlyweds did not let their special day be ruined.

Footage from the bomb shelter shows them laughing and smiling, while presenter Katya Nesterenko shared a video of them kissing at around 11:30 a.m. as the locals of Kiev also took cover.

Kyiv air raid siren. Wedding. Cover up,” she said on Facebook. ‘Everything will be Ukraine!’

The New Voice of Ukraine reports that Oleksandr and Tetyana remained in the bomb shelter until the air raid sirens were turned off – while others hiding underground congratulated them on their marriage.
