‘Furious’ Lauryn Goodman went on the ATTACK after love-rat Kyle Walker failed to give their children Christmas presents. Now friends tell ALISON BOSHOFF the REAL reason he didn’t – and why they fear Lauryn will ‘never move on’

There was a fight over artificial grass, a skirmish over a car for the babysitter, accusations over a doorbell – and now, perhaps inevitably, there is a fight over Christmas gifts.

Or rather, the lack thereof.

At times, influencer Lauryn Goodman – who this summer told a court she was in significant debt and had just £10,000 in cash – appears to be on the attack because her former lover, married to footballer Kyle Walker, has failed to provide gifts or to send a card to the court. two children they have together.

“To have them do nothing for another year is just very sad,” an insider told another newspaper. “All their mutual friends have spoken to Kyle. They are very angry for the children and for Lauryn, who always tries to do the right thing for their children. They hoped Kyle would put aside his differences for the sake of the children.”

He didn’t send anything last year either. In fact, I understand that he only gave son Kairo a gift once, and that was a coat that Lauryn had suggested a long time ago.

As for the kids “trying to do the right thing,” we’ll see that the explanation on Kyle’s part is that he’s doing just that by staying away.

For now, the media war rages on. Lauryn, wearing what appeared to be brand new £1,340 Louis Vuitton boots, stepped out with Kairo, four, and Kinara, 18 months, on Monday, and the three happened to be caught by a passing photographer.

Some time earlier, she had posted an exchange with a ‘fan’ on Instagram that read: ‘Did “that” even try to buy the kids [a present] for Christmas or even a card or do the ball and chain [Kyle Walker’s wife Annie] don’t allow…’. She replied, “You said it.”

From this you can conclude that emotions are still running high between the former lovers.

To briefly recap the scandal: Kyle, 34, fathered Kairo with Lauryn, 33, in 2020, despite already having three children with childhood sweetheart Annie Kilner, also 33. In 2021, he and Annie married – but the affair with Lauryn ended apparently through. at least briefly, and in August 2023 his second child with her, Kinara, was born.

Meanwhile, his fourth child with Annie, baby Rezon, was born in 2024.

Annie was informed of Kinara’s paternity on December 27, 2023, via a cheeky text from Lauryn: ‘Hey, it’s Lauryn. I just wanted to quickly tell you that Kyle is the father of our daughter.” Annie was pregnant at the time.

Lauryn is said to be “completely furious” about Christmas, about her contact with Kyle, about being labeled a gold digger by the judge who determined her alimony in the summer, and about the way she is being portrayed in the press. She’s already hired and fired a PR.

She is also said to be baffled that despite what has transpired about Kyle’s affair, he remains married to Annie.

That marriage is still on shaky ground — but the divorce Annie filed this summer remains on hold, according to sources, as they try to see if they can move past everything that happened. The fact is that Kyle and Annie live together – she brought him back in September – and they spent Christmas together.

“He spent Christmas with his family and lives at their home there,” a well-placed friend said. “Obviously he and Annie aren’t doing well because of what happened, but he lives there.”

It has even been suggested that they could eventually have a ‘financial separation’, where they divide assets and determine alimony, but continue to live together and try to rebuild their relationship.

You might be wondering why Kyle doesn’t want to extend some sort of olive branch to Lauryn, who has rehearsed her hurt feelings in TV and newspaper interviews, on Celebs Go Dating and on her eight-part podcast.

She felt particularly distressed after a court hearing to determine Kinara’s alimony in July. Although she emerged with £12,500 a month, plus the £2.4 million Sussex house bought for her and the children to live in, she was hurt by the judge’s comment that she had treated the footballer, worth £27 million. like an “open-ended checkbook.”

It was at this hearing that a list of Lauryn’s demands for Kyle emerged, including the installation of a £32,000 artificial turf pitch at the Sussex home and a £30,000 new car for the nanny.

The judge also said Lauryn, who was heard to have previously been prosecuted for benefits fraud, was ‘often difficult, unreasonable and demanding’.

In a statement after the verdict, a spokeswoman for Kyle said: “This verdict speaks for itself and exposes Lauryn Goodman’s insatiable greed and ruthless pursuit of money. The judge made it clear: She used Kyle like an open-ended checkbook and threatened him repeatedly to get what she wanted. She then orchestrated a media campaign to fuel intolerable and unlawful interference in the private lives of Kyle, Annie and their young family.”

Those feelings – of betrayal and media manipulation – haven’t gone anywhere. A source told me that Kyle feels the “Grinch” Christmas stories are just another example of publicity-hungry Lauryn attacking him.

“It feels like Lauryn is being ruthless in pushing this story into the spotlight,” the source said. ‘There was even a story last month that her doorbell didn’t work.

“It seems like she’s trying to use Kyle and the family to keep herself relevant. Kyle and Annie would love it if everything went away.

“He feels he can’t send gifts or Christmas wishes because he fears Lauryn will use any contact to promote himself in the media.

‘Kyle’s children are kept out of the media for their own privacy, he doesn’t want them to be dragged into it.

‘He wants to protect his family, Annie and his children. Kyle also doesn’t want to be the hook that pushes the kids with Lauryn into the media. And he wants to protect his relationship with Annie.”

The source added: “He never sent them Christmas or birthday presents. He did see Kairo a bit, but that’s when he tried to appease Lauryn in hopes she wouldn’t talk about Kinara publicly. He hasn’t seen him in a year.

“He has no contact with Lauryn. She would like to get in touch with him. If there is a problem with the home, there is a property manager she will have to deal with. If anything has to do with the children or family matters, she has to deal with his lawyer.

“A series of firewalls have been put in place to protect Kyle from the contact and pressure so he can move on peacefully. But it feels like Lauryn never wants to move on, she keeps trying to make contact.’

There are no signs that the situation for the footballer will improve in 2025. Lauryn is pursuing opportunities as a ‘mummy blogger’ and was reportedly disappointed that he wasn’t asked to take part in more reality TV shows after Celebs Go Dating.

A source said: ‘Kyle has no intention of stopping Lauryn from pursuing a career in media if that’s what she wants to do. But he doesn’t want to be involved, nor does he want his name used to promote her efforts.”

That seems like a faint hope. Kyle was clearly a fool – and worse – for cheating on his wife.

In an interview a few days after the paternity scandal broke, he said: “What I did is terrible and I take full responsibility.”

But it looks like his purgatory will continue. As revealed during the court hearing, Lauryn previously befriended Kyle’s neighbor and asked her to record the fight, telling her, “Ready to finish them off.”
