Furious husband ‘divorces’ influencer wife after she’s filmed leaping on stage to kiss US singer during live performance

A furious husband reportedly wants a divorce from his influencer wife after she was filmed kissing an American singer during a performance.

Miriam Cruz jumped on stage on December 28 during a live performance by bachata band Aventura in the Dominican Republic. NME reports.

Footage shows her greeting band members before hugging and kissing frontman Romeo Santos after being invited on stage to sing a song with the group.

Aventura then performed their song La Guerra, while Cruz sat next to Santos with a hand on his lap.

The influencer, who has about 140,000 followers on TikTok, said in a now-deleted social media post after the show that the kiss with Santos caused her marriage to fail.

“I must acknowledge that this achievement came at a very high cost: the breakup of my 10-year marriage,” she reportedly said in the post.

Cruz explained that she “got carried away by nerves and emotions, without thinking about the consequences for my family.”

Despite the kiss that broke them up, Cruz said she was “happy” that her “long-awaited dream,” which she had “imagined awake and asleep for years,” came true.

“For me, it’s not just about admiring the artist, but also about appreciating the wonderful human being he is,” she added.

“I have been following and admiring him for a long time.”

She said she respected her ex-partner’s decision to divorce, even though she was “overcome with deep sadness.”

Cruz wrote, “I am very sorry from the bottom of my heart. I never meant to hurt you.”

“I just hope that even though we are separated, we can maintain peace and unity for the sake of our children.”

On her TikTok account, Cruz often posted loved-up videos with her soon-to-be ex-husband and even showed off their children.

She also posted several short clips of herself on stage during the concert with the caption, “I’ve been a fan forever.”

Most of her followers expressed their condolences over her split and called her ex-partner “insecure”, adding that they would also have benefited from being on stage with Aventura.

They are all of Dominican descent and are considered the first major bachata group to originate in the US rather than the Dominican Republic.

The band was on a nine-month reunion tour until January 5 after the members split to focus on their solo projects.
