Fulham confirm the release of TEN players, including a former Tottenham star and an ex-Brighton defender… as Marco Silva’s side reveal next season’s roster

Fulham have confirmed the departure of ten players as part of their retained list after the end of the 2022/23 season.

Marco Silva’s side made a successful return to the Premier League last season, securing a 10th-place finish in the top flight.

And after the end of the season, the club announced which first team stars will be kept for the 2023/24 season.

The most notable name on the list, which the club specifically mentioned, was fullback Joe Bryan.

Bryan spent last season on loan at French side Nice, but remains the player with the most appearances for the club – of those who leave.

Since joining the club in 2018, the former Bristol City defender has made 117 appearances in all competitions, scoring five times and providing 11 assists in that time.

In addition to Bryan, Paulo Gazzaniga, Shane Duffy and Steven Sessegnon will also leave the club soon.

Former Tottenham goalkeeper Gazzaniga made 13 appearances for the Cottagers during their 2021-2022 season in the Championship.

The Argentinian was loaned to the Spanish Girona last season, with whom he will definitely join this summer.

Meanwhile, Duffy joined Silva’s side – initially on loan – at the start of the 2022–23 season, going on to make six Premier League appearances for them.

The former Brighton defender will join Championship side Norwich City after his contract with Fulham expires.

Sessegnon – brother of Spurs star Ryan – will also leave the club this summer after spending most of his football career with Fulham.

The 23-year-old joined the club at Under-9 level but has made just 19 appearances for the Cottagers since then.

Along with the aforementioned players, Fulham confirmed the departures of Thorstein Antonsson, Sonny Hilton, Ziyad Larkeche, Jonathon Page, Murphy Parker, Jean-Pierre Tiehi.

In a statement on their website, the club confirmed that deals had been offered to five players who were out of contract.

Neeskens Kebano and Willian were among the players who were offered a new contract.

It was also confirmed that the club had exercised one-year contract extensions for Ibane Bowat, Martial Godo and Jay Williams.
