A fugitive who was on the run in Florida for two months has been found by police twisted in a washer and dryer unit.
David Jerome Jackson, 31, was wanted on charges stemming from a March 14 incident in which he allegedly shot a gun at a home in Pensacola, Florida.
The charges include firing a gun into a dwelling, aggravated assault with a deadly weapon, damage to property and possession of a firearm by a convicted felon.
The Escambia County Sheriff’s Office received a tip Friday that Jackson was hiding in a home.
After executing a search warrant, officers entered the home to locate the fugitive.

After checking every floor closet and crevice, the one place they didn’t check, and didn’t think they should, was the machines in the house’s laundry room.
Low and behold, police pried Jackson’s folded body out of the “remarkably small clothes dryer,” according to a Facebook post from police, who used the incident as an opportunity to have some fun.
Deputies said the look on Jackson’s face was “a combination of guilt, shame and hot stockings.”

“He was pulled out of the dryer limb by limb while clinging to his dryer-appropriate shelter,” the sheriff’s office said.
“Outside the dryer, officers removed three dryer sheets, two mismatched socks and a crumpled tissue from his surprisingly wrinkled Star Wars shirt.”
Jackson has been taken into custody.
“And as always, all suspects are presumed innocent and free from static attachments,” the statement concluded.
