From Billie Piper raving to Mel C’s Spice Girl-themed DJ set to Alex Scott grinding on Jess Glynn’s lap – All the inside gossip from the Universal BRIT Awards afterparty

From lioness Chloe Kelly behaving while sipping a Coke to Billie Piper raving to Mel C’s Spice Girl-themed DJ set – the Universal Brit Awards afterparty was a medley of A-listers.

After Raye made history by collecting six gongs at the Brit Awards on Saturday night, the A-listers streamed out of the O2 and headed to several after-parties.

Maya Jama, 29, boarded a minibus and headed to the Warner event at the luxury NoMad hotel in London with a group of friends, including Big Brother presenter Aj Odudu.

Meanwhile, record label Universal hosted an equally exclusive, star-studded event at 180 Studios, where guests were treated to three open bars with an endless supply of champagne.

Waiters surrounded guests with plates of pizza and bowls of spaghetti bolognese, pesto or tomato pasta.

Lioness Alex Scott, 39, stood right behind Ms Hill as she bounced on the sofa with her friend, pop singer Jess Glynne, 34

Mel C dominated the decks, playing mostly Spice Girl remixes – much to the delight of Billie Piper, Strictly’s Layton Williams and Jesse Ware who formed a trio at the front of the dancefloor.

Piper, 41, and Williams, 29, beamed at each other from behind sunglasses as they raised their hands and showed off their dance moves.

To the group’s right, Brit Award winners for Producers of the Year Chase and Status – a legendary dance music duo made up of Saul Milton and Will Kennard – stood in a dark corner.

Dozens of people went there to introduce themselves to the pair, who will now be in-demand producers since winning the coveted award.

Becky Hill, who recently worked with Chase and Status on the drum and bass track Disconnect, was close to them but in her own world as she jumped up and down on the couches.

The 30-year-old singer was previously a Brit Award winner for Best British Dance Act, and although she was nominated this year, she still let loose on the sofa reserved for her.

Scott’s fellow Lioness Chloe Kelly was also among the dancers, but as an active sportswoman she skipped the booze and opted for Coca-Cola and pizza.

The 26-year-old England striker was joined by her new fiancé and long-term boyfriend Scott Moore and the pair kept to themselves throughout the night, occasionally saying hello to friends.

On the other hand, Girls Aloud singer Nicola Roberts was the woman of the hour entertaining besotted fans who constantly approached her for selfies.

Instead of sending them away, Ms. Roberts obliged them with a selfie and then complimented each on an aspect of their outfit.

Even in the toilet, she was stopped by a fan who expressed her love for her, to which she replied: ‘Thank you so much, I love your pants, where are they from?’

It turned out the silver trousers came from a charity shop in the girl’s village, but the Girls Aloud star was still smiling and overly excitedly said she would absolutely love them.

Nicola later spun the girl around on the dance floor until the lights came on at 2.30am and continued to chat to fans about the upcoming Girls Aloud reunion tour.

Raye broke records at the BRIT Awards on Saturday night, winning six gongs at a star-studded ceremony at London’s O2 Arena

Rising girl group The Last Dinner Party sat around a table and celebrated winning the Rising Star gong by drinking copious amounts of champagne.

At one point, lead singer Abigail Morris could be heard talking to a friend in the smoking area about the group’s unsurprisingly busy schedule since their critically acclaimed new album, Prelude to Ecstasy.

Paul Mescal’s younger sister, Nel, was also present as an independent artist.

The 20-year-old moved to London from their hometown of Maynooth, Ireland and released the song Homesick about her experience, which went viral on TikTok.
