Frightening 20-foot-tall figure seen clinging to the side of Colorado mountain

Two hikers were left stunned when they came across a terrifying, 20-foot-tall figure clinging to the side of a Colorado mountain.

Jessee Clauson, 29, and Camille Avarella, 28, were descending Longs Peak in the Rockies when they accidentally captured the tall, gray creature on camera as it appeared to climb the rock.

The Denver duo didn’t see the creature during their Aug. 24 hike, but spotted it in the background of a photo weeks later while reminiscing about their adventure.

“I was shocked when we saw the photo,” behavioral analyst Clauson told DailyMail.com.

She said about the walk: ‘We didn’t see anything.

“We didn’t take the picture because we saw that thing. We just took it because the mountain range was so beautiful.”

Clauson said they began the daring hike at 2 a.m. so they could summit the 14,000-foot (4,266-meter) rock face before sunset the next day.

They had been walking for seven hours when they took the photo just after reaching the summit around 9 a.m., she said.

“We were full of adrenaline so we didn’t really pay attention to what was happening,” Clauson told DailyMail.com.

Graphic designer Avarella explained that they first saw the creature when they showed the photos to their family on a plasma screen.

They zoomed in after seeing a strange white color on the side of the rock.

“Camille’s father said, ‘What the hell is that, that thing is 20 feet long,’ and Camille said, ‘Should we call the rangers?’” Clauson recalled.

“We were all like, ‘What is that?’”

“It could be a rock,” Avarella added. “But it has all the hallmarks of something human.”

“We are open to interpretation,” Clauson said, adding that they posted the photos on a Facebook group for hikers in Colorado and dozens of people responded in shock at the phenomenon.

“It was so far away that it couldn’t really do anything to us. I like to think it was an alien.”

“The anatomy is so similar to a human, it’s just scary,” Avarella added.

The duo said they would like to see the creature again, but would never make the 15-hour journey again.

“I hope someone else does it and sees it,” Clauson said.
