Masterson, 46 – dressed in a light gray suit, blue shirt and beige tie – arrived at the criminal court in downtown Los Angeles with his wife, actress Bijou Philips, also 46, and several other family members and friends.

The TV star, who has been released on $3.3 million bail since his arrest in June 2020, pleaded not guilty to raping three women at his Hollywood Hills home between 2001 and 2003.

He faces a prison term of 45 years to life if he is convicted at the end of his trial where Elvis Presley’s daughter, ex-Scientologist Lisa Marie Presley, is on the witness list.

His accusers — whom DailyMail.com only identifies as Jane Does 1-3 — are all former Scientologists and are also suing him and the Church of Scientology in civil court, alleging they have been harassed and harassed since joining him. reported to the police.

On the witness stand Friday, Fabos, a Scientologist and longtime friend of Jane Doe 1, said he met her in a coffee shop after the alleged rape and while he “don’t remember” Masterson seeing her in the Jacuzzi, he does remember that she said he gave her a drink that made her feel weird.

“She said she thought something strange was going on with her — she couldn’t understand how she got drunk so quickly,” he said. “She couldn’t understand why she was so tipsy after just one drink.”

He said Jane Doe 1 “couldn’t understand how she woke up in Masterson’s bed”, adding: “She said she wouldn’t have done that.

“She said something strange had happened and that there had been malicious intent.”

Fabos told the jury that he remembered reacting to this statement: “That’s not okay. I’m going to scare him!’

“And she said to me, ‘No, don’t do that.’

He told the court that in a subsequent phone call, Jane Doe 1 recanted her story of the incident at Masterson’s home on the night of April 25, 2003, telling him, “It never happened.”

And later she told him that when she told him it hadn’t happened, she was trying to “protect” him from trouble he could get into if he got revenge on Masterson.

Fabos said he went on a family trip to Florida with Jane Doe 1 after the episode at Masterson’s house, but when Mueller asked him if he’d seen any bruises on her body while they were in Florida, he said, “No.”

After Judge Charlaine Olmedo determined that Fabos was a hostile witness, defense attorney Karen Goldstein asked him if Jane Doe1 had ever mentioned a gun during their coffee shop conversation about the night of the alleged rape.

‘No,’ he said

‘Did she say anything to you about the use of force? Goldstein asked.

“No,” replied Fabos. “She said, I would never have done that – he’s such a sucker, something like that. It was said she didn’t really like him.’

“So she wasn’t happy waking up in his bed?” Goldstein asked. “Right,” he replied.

About Jane Doe 1’s later phone call denying that the whole incident had happened, “she said she made it up or it wasn’t true… something like that,” Fabos said.

When Goldstein asked Fabos if he’d seen bruises on the body of Jane Doe’s 1 in Florida, he replied, “No.”

Another witness, Rachel, Jane Doe 1,’s niece, said she too was on a family trip to Florida in late April 2003 and noticed bruising on her arms and hips.

She added that her cousin, usually outgoing and energetic, was “gruff and quiet” on the flight to Florida and wore a scarf, long sleeves and pants to cover her bruises.

But during a cross-examination of attorney Philip Cohen, when asked if Jane Doe 1 “appear to be in physical pain” in Florida, Rachel replied, “No.”

Another alleged rape victim of Masterson also addressed the court on Monday.

Jane Doe 3 – who lived with the actor for six years – told his jury that the actor would pee on her, call her “white trash,” physically assault her and regularly force her to have sex against her will.

She was a successful model, barely 18, when she met Masterson in 1996 and soon moved in with him, the court heard.

“It was good for the first year – he was very charming and I fell for him,” she said.

The Scientologist TV star grew tired of traveling the world on modeling jobs and asked her to stay home. “His religion is discussing this – women should stay at home,” she told the court.

He also urged her to join the Church of Scientology, she added. “He made it very clear to me that I had to become a Scientologist. To stay in this relationship I had to start doing [Scientology] courses.

“I was told that my parents were oppressive people and that I was disconnecting from my family. He [Masterson] didn’t like any of my friends – so my new friends were Scientologists.

“My whole life became his friends and family and his church.”

Jane Doe 3 told the jury that Masterson changed about a year after their relationship.

“He became very aggressive sexually – and I remember some physical abuse and emotional abuse.

“I remember coming back from Paris and I was very tired and jet lagged and he wanted to have sex and I didn’t.

“It resulted in a fight and he dragged me across the bedroom floor by my hair. He called me fat and other insults.’

She told the court that it was more common for Masterson to want sex when she didn’t. “It got pretty regular — I just let it happen.”

Jane Doe 3 said that on these occasions it would be she, not him, who would say sorry.

“I would apologize to him – if I didn’t, he would be very angry. He didn’t want to talk to me. I felt like it was my fault. He was always right…

“He would want to have sex, I would say no and he would have sex anyway. You just don’t say no to him.’

She told the jury that if Masterson was mad at her, “he would call me white trash.”

She also said he would “pee on me.” I would be in the shower and he would sneak in and pee on me. He thought it was funny.’

Jane Doe 3 said her relationship with Masterson changed in late 2001 – and was about to end – “when I started standing up for myself a bit.”

She fought back tears and recalled one night in November 2001 when, “I was asleep and woke up and he had sex with me. I didn’t want to have sex with him, so I said, “No, I don’t want…

“But he wouldn’t stop. I tried to push him off me, but he put all his body weight on me. He pushed my arms back – I felt trapped.

“I was able to free my left hand and do something that I knew would get it off me. I pulled at his hair. He has these rules—no rule for touching face and no rule for touching hair.”

When asked by Deputy District Attorney Reinhold Mueller how Masterson reacted when she pulled his hair, she said, “He hit me hard on the face with his hand.

“When he hit me, I was shocked. I was angry. I yelled, “Get off me.”

“That’s when he got up, stepped over me, and spat on me. And he called me white trash.’
