- Reboul achieved a career-high singles ranking of 328 – he is prominent in doubles
- Maxence Broville has a career-high singles ranking of 829.
Speculation has mounted that the ATP Tour could finally have its first active LGBTQ+ players after Fabien Reboul shared a photo of himself kissing fellow pro Maxence Broville.
Reboul, 27, shared a photo of himself embracing compatriot Broville, 23, on Instagram.
Accompanying the photograph was the caption: ‘I didn’t fall in love with you, your love pushed me to.’
The photograph was reposted to Broville’s own Instagram account.
The two shared a photo of each other hugging on social media in their tennis club gear.
It was followed by a photograph of them kissing that was shared on their social media pages.
This opened up the possibility that the ATP Tour could finally have active gay players, something the sport has been criticized for in the past.
Women’s soccer has long had openly LGBTQ+ players. At this year’s French Open, it was reported that there were seven openly gay players and zero men.
Neither player has moved to confirm or deny the reports.
Reboul is currently ranked no. 54 in the doubles world, while Broville is ranked 879. The former seems to have sacrificed his singles career a bit in favor of doubles, now he is ranked a humble 1288 in the singles form of the game.
The two were photographed posing in chino sets and blazers from the Slade Toulousain Tennis Club.
