French Montana has broken its silence after ten people were injured in a shooting outside a Miami Gardens restaurant on Thursday.
The 38-year-old musician took to Twitter on Friday where he sent “thoughts and prayers” to those injured in the shooting, which is said to include Rob49 and a bodyguard.
The shooting was said to have taken place while filming a music video for Montana and Rob49, but Montana clarified that it was during a celebratory event for his newly released mixtape Coke Boys 6.
He wrote: ‘Last night, I was in Miami celebrating the release of my CB6 mixtape with friends at a local restaurant.

“Unfortunately, we were in the wrong place at the wrong time when an incident occurred that left people injured. Our thoughts and prayers are with the victims and families at this time.

Miami police and fire units responded to reports of a shooting at The Licking Restaurant just before 8:00 p.m. Thursday.
Several hours later, the building remained cordoned off with crime scene tape as ambulances and police vehicles continued to line up on 27th Avenue in Miami Gardens.
Multiple social media posts indicate that Rob49, 24, a popular New Orleans rapper, and one of French Montana’s bodyguards were two of the victims who were shot. Police have yet to confirm those reports.
10 people were injured during a shooting Thursday night at a Miami Gardens restaurant where rapper French Montana was filming a music video.
Miami Gardens Police Department Detective Diana Gorgue told a local outlet WSVN that law enforcement ‘keeps working’ [the scene].’
“There are multiple shots, there are multiple cases,” he said. “We can’t confirm any numbers right now, because everything is still fresh.”
Paramedics reportedly airlifted four victims to Ryder Trauma Center.
A lifeguard said through a radio transmission: “We had a total of 10 [victims]. Four arrived alone at the hospital and we have treated six transported.
At least one of the victims was listed in critical condition Thursday night. Montana’s bodyguard was, according to multiple social media posts, fighting for his life after the mass shooting.
News crews also captured rescue teams carrying two victims on stretchers to hospital.
Witnesses Ced Mogul said rapper French Montana, known for briefly dating Khloe Kardashian among other things, had been filming a music video outside The Licking soul food restaurant, owned by DJ Khaled.
In cellphone footage, French Montana, 38, can be seen in the restaurant’s parking lot as others stand around.
Eyewitness Ced Mogul said that a man in the crowd had his keys and wallet stolen, after which shooting broke out.
The witness said the progression from confusion to multiple shots was “very rapid.”
‘It was like at least 13, 14, 15 shots. It sounded like an assault rifle,” she said, adding that she ran off.
Several vehicles and police and fire personnel gathered at the scene where several people were injured and transported to local hospitals.
In cellphone images of the area, the bodies of the victims are seen scattered around the area.
The shooting occurred in the parking lot of a local soul food restaurant where the rappers had been filming a music video.
Hours after the shooting, it was not clear if an individual fired into the crowd or if it was an exchange of fire. It was also unclear if anyone had been detained.
A second video runs through the scene of the shooting before ambulances arrived.
Multiple bodies can be seen in different positions almost motionless in various areas of the parking lot.
TMZ reported that security removed him from the area without incident.
CBS reported that police will review videos posted on social media and surveillance tapes from the area as they investigate the incident.
