Mathieu Kassovitz is reportedly seriously injured in a motorcycle accident.

The director of La Haine has been taken to the Kremlin-Bicêtre hospital in Paris for treatment deadline.

However, according to his friends, the French actor is not in life-threatening danger.

The award-winning actor and director rode his motorcycle on the Montlhéry circuit outside Paris.

That same year, Mathieu also had a role in Amélie.

Outside of France, the César Award-winning actor, director and writer is best known for his role in Luc Besson’s The Fifth Element.

In 2005, he appeared alongside Geoffrey Rush and Eric Bana in Steven Spielberg’s historical drama Munich.

Fans of the hard-working French actor can also watch him on Amazon TV in five seasons of The Bureau, a spy series.

An avid motorcycle enthusiast, the Hollywood heavyweight developed a love for the athletic activity when he moved to Los Angeles in the 2000s, according to the Deadline report.
