Shohei Ohtani’s favorite activity during flights with his Dodgers teammates has been revealed by Los Angeles star Freddie Freeman.
Ohtani and Freeman have only been teammates for one season, with the Dodgers winning the World Series in dominant fashion last month.
During an appearance on Travis and Jason Kelce’s podcast “New Heights,” Freeman explained that Ohtani does the same thing on every flight, no matter how long the trip is.
“All I can say is that when he gets on the plane, he literally spends the entire flight reading comics, like anime comics. And that’s what he reads the entire flight,” the Canadian-American said.
However, Freeman did not say what Ohtani’s favorite anime comic is, as there are many fans in America.

Ohtani joined the Dodgers last season with a record $700 million contract
Ohtani signed a 10-year, $700 million contract last offseason, deferring $68 million of his one-year deal.
The Japanese star is not short of cash, still earning $2 million a year and plenty from off-the-field brand deals.
Freeman also revealed that Ohtani likes to put down his credit card when the check comes with team meals.
‘We actually split the latter. We did a team dinner in New York, and yes, Shohei and I shared it with (Clayton) Kershaw.”
Where the team went is unclear, but knowing the prices in New York City for a nice meal, it wouldn’t have been a cheap outing.
The Dodgers are already heavily favored to repeat as baseball champions as they pursue Juan Soto in free agency.
