The fight, which took place in Riyadh on Saturday evening, ended in the first round after Clarke was caught by a powerful overhand right that sent him to the canvas.
Immediately after the fight, ringside photos revealed a worrying dent in the side of Clarke’s head, raising alarm about the severity of the blow he suffered.
Medical staff responded quickly and Clarke was given oxygen before being transported to hospital for further evaluation.
Reports indicate that medical staff are concerned not only about the visible dent, but also about a suspected broken jaw, which could complicate his recovery.
