Frasier Script Cover For Reboot With Kelsey Grammer Shared
The Frasier revival show is finally getting going.
Casting director Jeff Greenberg shared the first page of the pilot script on Twitter on Monday, writing ‘And so it begins. Again.’
The title of the first episode, The Good Father, is an homage to the first episode of Frasier’s original show, The Good Son, which debuted in 1993 and ran for 11 seasons.

Longtime Frasier collaborator James Burrows is listed as director, with executive producers Chris Harris and Joe Cristalli serving as writers.
Details of the new show, which will be part of the Paramount+ family, are limited.
It has been revealed that Frasier has left Seattle for a new city, where, as 67-year-old star Kelsey Grammer put it, People, ‘our brave little soldier goes on in life, finding new challenges and new love and new people and a new city and the like.’
Reboot: Kelsey Grammer, 67, will reprise his role as Dr. Frasier Crane in the highly anticipated series premiering on Paramount+ later this year.
Kelsey played the title character in the original Frasier, playing a Seattle-based radio psychiatrist on the Emmy-winning series from 1993 to 2004.
John Mahoney, who played psychiatrist’s father Martin on the Emmy-winning series, passed away in 2018, and David Hyde Pierce, who played brother Niles, has decided not to reprise his role on the sitcom.
Jack Cutmore-Scott, 35, will play Frasier’s son, Freddy.
Variety reported that the British actor’s character is a nuanced combination of his father and grandfather.

It seems that the pilot’s title refers to problems that the father and son may be working on.
“Years ago, Freddy refused to follow in his father’s footsteps, dropping out of college to become a firefighter, never looking back until now, when recent troubles have left him with no one to turn to in his life.”
“If they can get over past differences, Freddy and Frasier might finally have a chance to mend old wounds.”
Father and Son: It seems that the title of the pilot refers to problems that the father and son may be working on. A description of Freddy says that he “refused to follow in his father’s footsteps: drop out of college to become a firefighter.”
Nicholas Lyndhurst, 61, who co-starred with Kelsey in Man of La Mancha, has been hired to play Frasier’s old college roommate, Alan Cornwall.
According to Varietyhe is described as “British, drunk and larger than life” with an “intellect on a par with Frasier’s, if he ever felt like using it.”
Frasier is expected to debut on Paramount+ later this year.
College buddy: Nicholas Lyndhurst, 61, who co-starred with Kelsey in Man of La Mancha, has been tapped to star as Frasier’s old college buddy, Alan Cornwall.
