Frasier casting news: Bebe Neuwirth is set to reprise her role as Lilith

Big news was shared for Frasier fans on Thursday.

Paramount+ revealed that Bebe Neuwirth will guest-star in Frasier to reprise her role as Lilith.

And a description of the episode was also posted.

“When they meet again at Freddy’s birthday party, Lilith, in her classic form, is far from happy to have to share with Freddy (Jack Cutmore-Scott) now that Frasier has returned to live in Boston,” reads in the notice.

Added: “What starts out as a fun party with friends and family inevitably turns into a Lilith and Frasier showdown for eternity!”

They were a television golden couple: Neuwirth as Dr. Lilith Sternin and Kelsey Grammer as Dr. Frasier Crane in the Frasier Adventures in Paradise: Part 1 episode.

And the tagline for the series is: ‘Frasier is off to a different city with new challenges to face, new relationships to forge, and an old dream or two to finally fulfill. Frasier has entered the building again!

Frasier comes from writers Chris Harris (How I Met Your Mother) and Joe Cristalli (Life In Pieces), who are executive producers with Kelsey Grammer, Tom Russo and Jordan McMahon.

The series is produced by CBS Studios in association with Grammer’s Grammnet NH Productions.

And the streamer is Paramount+.

As previously announced, James Burrows is set to direct the first two episodes.

This comes a month after it was revealed that Anders Keith will play David Crane, the son of Daphne (played by Janes Leeves) and Niles (played by David Hyde Pierce).

The Kid: Anders Keith was announced Wednesday as the lovebird descendant for a sequel to the beloved show that aired from 1993 to 2004.

This will be Keith’s first screen job as he is fresh out of Julliard graduating in May 2022.

Jess Salgueiro was cast as Eve, who is a friend of Frasier’s son. Already in the cast are Nicholas Lyndhurst and Jack Cutmore-Scott as Frasier and Freddy, Lilith’s son.

Kelsey stars in the sequel.

Leeves and Pierce won’t be on board and neither will Peri Gilpin, who played Roz Doyle. John Mahoney, who played Frasier and Niles’ father, died at age 77 in 2018.

David is a college freshman who is uncomfortable but excited by his mother’s pleasant smile, the site shared.

Daphne gave birth to David during the finale of Frasier in 2004. He is named after the series’ co-creator, David Angell, who was killed in the 9/11 attacks.
