Frankie Muniz tears up as he reveals heartbreaking Malcolm in the Middle confession on I’m A Celebrity

Frankie Muniz made a heartbreaking confession on Tuesday’s episode of I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here! Australia

The Malcolm in the Middle star, 38, broke down after his famous campmates asked how being a child actor affected his family life.

The former actor, who first started starring in the hit comedy series at the age of 11, said his career was partly responsible for the breakdown of his parents’ marriage.

“Malcolm took us to LA,” he began. “My mother and I went, but my sister stayed with my father in North Carolina.”

‘But my father and mother were getting divorced at that time. So in that sense, it’s a little sad to think that the family is actually separated,” he continued, visibly moved to tears.

‘I don’t know how much positive it has brought to the family. I wasn’t part of the family since I was 11 because that’s when I left,” the child star turned racing driver added.

His confession comes shortly after Frankie admitted he was set for life because he was able to retire on his Malcolm In The Middle earnings as a teenager, and he still receives residual checks from overseas reruns to this day.

Last week, the former actor told his campmates that he would be worth a whopping $40 million by the time he was 19.

‘This guy wrote, “I’m sorry, but your acting is just terrible.” And I was in a movie, and I said, “Yes, it is, but you know what isn’t terrible? Retiring at 19 with $40 million. Good luck moving out of your mom’s house before you you’re 35,” he said.

“His Twitter handle was ‘I heart Mountain Dew.’ Like, okay,” he added.

Colleague Brittany Hockley then asked Muniz if he had made enough money to fully retire.

“Oh, 100 percent,” he replied.

‘But I am neurotically motivated. I’ve just always worked since I was eight. I don’t know how to just be in the moment and not be focused on what I’m doing next.”

According to The Daily TelegraphBy the end of the show, Muniz reportedly earned approximately AUD$230,000 per episode, without adjusting for inflation.
