Frankie Essex has detailed her son Logan’s ‘terrifying’ emergency surgery after a routine vaccination caused an abscess on his leg.
The former TOWIE star, 34, revealed that the five-month-old was rushed to hospital three times last week to cure the infection.
She wrote in her OKAY! column: ‘So Monday morning we went to the doctors and Monday evening something didn’t feel right, so we took him to the ER.
Shocking: Frankie Essex has detailed her son Logan’s ‘terrifying’ emergency surgery after a routine vaccination caused an abscess on his leg
He was eventually taken to another hospital in an ambulance. The next day he had a scan so they could confirm it was an abscess. He then had to go to the Royal London Hospital – the third hospital – to have it removed.’
She went on to reveal that the little one had to stay in the hospital for a few days to have the abscess removed, after being told by doctors that this was the only option.
The reality star has now filed a complaint with her local GP practice, writing: ‘I assumed it was a bit common because babies are vaccinated every day and they are required to have three plots – but every doctor and nurse I spoke to said they’ I’ve never seen it in a baby.’

Family: Frankie, 34, and her partner of three years Luke Love welcomed their twins Logan and Luella on June 1
The reality star, who has been in a relationship with Luke for three years, announced in February that she was pregnant with twins, which came as a huge ‘shock’.
Revealing how they found out about the news, she said, “The lady who scanned me focused on one baby and then said, ‘What else do we have here?’ and I was so shocked and asked, “Do we have twins?” I burst into tears, tears of happiness. It was just so beautiful. It was pleasant.
“We had an early scan because we were so excited. There are no twins in the family and we were conceived naturally. They are not identical.

“It was such a shock, but it’s a blessing and we are so over the moon.
‘It is awesome. As soon as we told the family I asked if twins run on both sides and as far as we all know they don’t.’
A month later, Frankie shared the news that she would have a son and a girl at a gender reveal party, attended by her famous family.
