It comes after Frankie got cheeky on Monday Loose Women as she gave candid insight into her sex life with husband Wayne.

The singer, who is celebrating her tenth wedding anniversary with the 43-year-old footballer this year, spoke to her fellow panel members about making excuses for sex.

As the women throw excuses after excuses to avoid sex, Frankie confessed that even though Wayne sometimes gets “tired, anxious and stressed,” he will have sex with her regardless of his mood or feelings at the time.

The crowd was in uproar when she made the hilarious confession, saying: ‘I just think men and women are so different in general. Like it affects me so much when I’m stressed, anxious, have something going on, tired, whatever…

“Then I’m not in the mood, it has nothing to do with my partner, but Wayne, I can be horrible to him all day long, then I can turn around and say, ‘Let’s get started’ and he’ll say, ‘ Okay then!’

Frankie, who has two sons with the sports legend, opened the segment by admitting she finds it strange when people are questioned about their sex lives, especially celebrities.

She said: ‘First of all, I find it strange that people are constantly asked how their sex lives are. Like who’s up for saying he likes Sharon Osbourne: ‘How’s your and Ozzy’s sex life?’

In March 2021, Wayne left fans red-faced by confessing that the couple had gotten steamy during the lockdown amid the coronavirus pandemic.

He admitted that he and his wife Frankie had sex during the day during Britain’s third lockdown, in between homeschooling their sons.

He revealed: ‘With our kids and the lockdown, bedtime has become harder, so (sex) has become a thing of the day. But that has also been quite difficult because of homeschooling… it is quite difficult…

‘There have been times when they almost got us! I like a late night, but my wife isn’t too keen on that; she likes to go early, and she also likes to go to bed early. I also like sex during the day, then you feel good afterwards…’

Frankie rose to fame as one-fifth of The Saturdays in 2007, but she found fame years earlier. She was a member of S Club Juniors from 2001 to 2004, together with future The Saturdays groupmate Rochelle Humes.

Frankie has been a panelist on Loose Women since 2021.

Frankie made her West End debut in August 2023 with her role in the thriller 2:22 A Ghost Story at the Apollo Theatre. Cheryl and Lily Allen also starred.

The star is an ambassador for mental health charity Mind, after a battle with depression that left her in hospital in 2011.
