Eintracht Frankfurt have slapped a price tag of £21million on Manchester United target Kevin Trapp and insist a deal must be done within the next few days, according to reports.

Erik ten Hag’s side are interested in the German keeper, as they look to add another stopper to put pressure on David De Gea and Tom Heaton.

And according to BILD, Europa League champions Frankfurt will accept £21m for Trapp.

The 32-year-old could sign a four-year-contract at Old Trafford and double his salary.

However, Frankfurt insist that if Trapp is to depart, a deal must be done in the next two to three days so that the German side have enough time to sign a replacement before the transfer window closes on September 1.

Their current No 2 Diant Ramaj is only 20 and is not yet believed to be ready to step up to first choice.

Germany international Trapp, 32, has two years left on contract and has been considered by the Red Devils alongside Borussia Monchengladbach’s Yann Sommer and Asmir Begovic of Everton.

Trapp joined Frankfurt in 2018 from PSG, originally on loan before the move was made permanent a year later.

He has made 160 appearances for the club in all competitions and has picked up six caps for the German national team since making his debut in 2017.

United also reportedly want a quick decision on Trapp, preferably before the weekend, to give them enough time to act as the window enters its final week.

Trapp has not signalled he wants to leave, although a move to Old Trafford would be appealing to the German stopper.

However, there are question marks over how his World Cup chances would be impacted if he was to depart the Deutsche Bank Park.
