Frank Ocean fans go WILD as he teases a snippet of new song: ‘I’ve replayed it at least 50 times!’

Frank Ocean has sent fans into meltdown after a brief look at his new music.

The 36-year-old Chanel hitmaker shared the clip of a new song with a running time of just under four minutes in his Instagram Story on Thursday, without further explanation.

The tease is the first since the musician aired unreleased songs on his Apple Music 1 Blonded Radio show in July 2022.

Since his critically acclaimed 2016 LP Blonde, fans have had a slew of singles including DHL, In My Room, Cayendo and Dear April.

Despite the album receiving both commercial and critical success, Ocean chose not to submit it to the Grammys for consideration.

The White Ferrari artist previously suggested new music was on the horizon during his performance at Coachella this year.

‘It was so long ago. Everyone talks about how long it’s been. “It’s been so long, it’s been so long,” he said.

‘But I missed you. I want to talk about why I’m here, because it’s not because of a new album.’

“It’s because – not that it is not a new album, but it isn’t available yet. Chill, chill, chill. No, that is not the case now.’

The star had previously said he would release new music as one-off singles rather than as an album, but he apparently changed his mind when he teased a new record on a poster for his merchandise.

The print stated that a ‘fictitious artist (apparently Ocean) preferred ‘the singles distribution model rather than the long album model’ as this was ‘more suited to modern consumption habits’.

The teaser included the statement: “The Recording Artist has since changed his mind about the singles model and is once again interested in more long-form works.”

The Swim Good hitmaker is no longer signed to a label after splitting from Def Jam Recordings ahead of the release of Blonde.

Shortly after teasing new music at Coachella, the Novacane singer ultimately pulled out the festival’s second weekend, with Blink-182 stepping in to take his place.
