John Fury has mocked Francis Ngannou ahead of his highly anticipated fight with Tyson Fury.

The pair will face off in Saudi Arabia on October 28 in a crossover fight, with Ngannou ā€“ a former heavyweight champion in the UFC ā€“ entering the boxing ring for the first time in his career.

The pair faced off at their press conference in London earlier this month, with Fury taking off his shirt as they looked down.

Ngannou is being coached by Mike Tyson for the fight and was put through his paces during media training this week.

However, John Fury couldn’t believe what he was seeing and struck out on Ngannou’s slow punches, while also spoiling his chances of causing an upset against the Gypsy King next month.

ā€œI just saw Francis Ngannou and Mike Tyson and that so-called trainer who has the pads in the open training,ā€ he said in a video he shared.

ā€œI hope he’s joking and playing possum here. I hope it’s a joke and meant for laughs, because if it isn’t, he has no prayer.

‘He has no chance of having a cat. He doesn’t make it out of the first round. It will probably be Tyson’s fastest knockout, but it (the training video) should be kidology, fun and games.

‘Cause if that’s what he’s got, God help him. He will be smashed to pieces.

ā€œThat’s all I’m saying, mate, that’s embarrassing. If that’s all he can do in a public workout, then don’t bother doing a public workout. It is a shame.’

Speaking on Wednesday, Ngannou insisted he was optimistic about the fight but refused to underestimate Fury despite the Gypsy King making fun of his own physique.

During their showdown this month, Fury was seen grabbing his love handles and calling himself a ā€œfat pig.ā€

However, Ngannou has seen through Fury’s tactics and says he would be naive to judge the Gypsy King on his body alone.

On Fury’s comments, the MMA star said: ‘I don’t think he was nervous. I think he was playing mind games.

ā€œI think he was playing a mind game by saying, look, I’m a fat pig. No you’re not. You’re the best damn boxer, so you’re not.’

Ngannou added: ā€œIt was just impressive to see (his stomach closer). It wasn’t very cool though, it wasn’t very fun right? But you can’t let him fool you.

‘I think that was the intention. He tried to be fooled by his body, but if you just look at his body, he’s deceiving you.ā€
