Francesco Camarda has broken the record by becoming the youngest player to ever play in a Serie A match at 15 years and 260 days.
He will receive the award from Bologna’s Wisdom Amey, who was 15 years and 274 days old when he made his competitive debut against Genoa in 2021.
Paolo Maldini is another name to hold the record, having made his first senior appearance for AC Milan at the age of 16 and six.
Camarda, who has been hailed as ‘the new Michael Owen’, came on for Luka Jovic in the 83rd minute of AC Milan’s 1-0 win over Fiorentina on Saturday evening.
The striker was called up to the first team by Stefano Pioli after Olivier Giroud was handed a two-match ban following his red card against Lecce.
Noah Okafor had also picked up an injury during the international break, ruling him out of tonight’s match, leaving Milan with no options at the top.

The teenage wonderkid, who has scored four goals in six appearances for the Italy U17 side, only made his debut in the UEFA youth competition in September, during Milan’s 4-0 win against Newcastle.
He was born on March 10, 2008 and turned 15 earlier this year.
When Camarda’s name was announced during the tannoy at San Siro, the crowd erupted in cheers for the young star.
He has played in all but two of Milan’s Primavera 1 matches this season, finding the back of the net just once in the Italian youth league.
Although the 15-year-old is yet to sign for the Italian side, Camarda has scored seven goals in 13 appearances at youth level for Milan.

It comes as Ethan Nwaneri became the youngest player to ever feature in a Premier League match last season at the age of 15 years and 181 days, and also featured in Arsenal’s 3-0 win against Brentford in September 2022 .
On Saturday, Camarda helped Milan to their eighth win of the season, with Theo Hernandez’s penalty on the stroke of half-time proving the difference for Pioli’s team.
Milan have been going through a difficult period in Serie A recently, despite now sitting third in the table.
The Rossoneri have won just four of their last ten matches, suffering three defeats and three draws.
They take on Dortmund in the Champions League on Tuesday before playing Frosinone.
