Frances Bean Cobain is MARRIED! Kurt Cobain’s daughter and Tony Hawk’s son Riley have tied the knot and guess which musical icon acted as celebrant
Kurt Cobain’s daughter Frances Bean and Tony Hawk’s son Riley Hawk are married.
TMZ reported that the couple previously tied the knot on October 7 in Los Angeles after obtaining a marriage license in San Diego County in September.
And what’s more, rock royalty had a musical icon as a celebrant on the day: REM frontman Michael Stipe.
Michael is also Frances’ godfather, and her godmother is Drew Barrymore.
Frances and Riley have been dating since at least January 2021… and it’s her second marriage, though his first.

Frances filed for divorce from her first husband, musician Isaiah Silva, in March 2016 after less than two years of marriage.
They became involved in a dispute over one of her later father Kurt’s guitars.
Frances’ mother is Hole frontwoman Courtney Love. Her father, Nirvana frontman Kurt, died in April 1994 of a self-inflicted gunshot wound to the head.
Rumors that Frances and Riley were dating first started on Reddit, where a user posted a photo of them at dinner with his parents, Tony and Catherine.
As the news started trickling in, people started sharing their comments, which for the most part were supportive.
‘If they had a child, their grandparents would be two of the biggest icons of the 1990s. Insane,” one person wrote.
“Okay, this is legitimately good news for humanity,” another commenter shared.
And one person seemed to sum up the sentiments by posting: ‘Daughter of the most nineties guy ever is dating the son of the second most nineties guy ever.’
