France showed off their Euro 2024 muscle by hitting Gibraltar for SEVEN in a stunning first half from Didier Deschamps.
The French have already qualified from Group B for next summer’s tournament, but showed their ruthless streak by scoring seven first-half goals from seven different scorers.
It took just three minutes for Deschamps to open the scoring, as Gibraltar defender Ethan Santos put the ball in his own net to give the hosts a perfect start.
A minute later, Marcus Thuram doubled the lead before debutant Warren Zaire-Emery wrote a moment in French football history.
Going into the match, the PSG teenager became the youngest post-war international, and it took him just 16 minutes to also become the country’s youngest-ever goalscorer.

Unfortunately, his night would end early as he suffered an injury while scoring his historic goal and had to leave after just 20 minutes.
France were undeterred and made it 4-0 from the penalty spot when Kylian Mbappé fired the ball home, while things went from bad to worse for the away side when the hapless Santos was subsequently shown a red card.
Three goals in the opening half minute saw France run riot against Gibraltar, with Johnathan Clauss, Kingsley Coman and substitute Youssouf Fofana scoring before half-time.
