Fox Sports reporter Erin Andrews hits back at troll who called her ‘too old’ and pointed out her ‘wrinkles’

Erin Andrews had the perfect response when she clapped back at a male viewer who criticized her appearance.

The 46-year-old Fox Sports host decided to respond to a comment from a man on X that read: “Erin Andrews is too old now. Can see the wrinkles visibly on the HD. It’s been a great achievement for Erin, but it’s time for a younger blonde/brunette to take over.”

Andrews, who claimed Taylor Swift has been “incredible” for the NFL, reshared his post with her 2.5 million followers and wrote alongside it: “Don’t even think you need HD to see them. But I appreciate you pointing them out, buddy!” And her fans were quick to defend her.

One person replied: ‘Gosh, what a jerk. You’re beautiful,’ and a second said: ‘You’re doing great, Erin! Don’t give the haters your time.’

A third person commented: ‘What the hell is wrong with people. Erin is smart, articulate and beautiful. One of the best in all of sports.”

A fourth fan agreed, writing, “You are aging gracefully and still beautiful. Your reporting is top notch, and that is why it is important.”

And a fifth person added: ‘You are the best to ever be on this sideline. & honestly more beautiful than ever before too,” and someone else said: “You are beautiful!”

Another X user wrote: ‘You are still beautiful, but more importantly you are very good at your job. Those of us who know and love sports appreciate you for how good you are at your job and you always have been.

“The other people watch sports because of the politics and the fleeting pretty faces,” she added.

Andrews is certainly no stranger to clapping back at trolls, and just a few weeks ago she responded to another fan on social media who insulted her appearance while she was working as a sideline reporter at a recent NFL game.

She attended the San Francisco 49ers’ game against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers on November 10 in Florida, and the weather was warm.

During an interview with 49ers tight end George Kittle, Andrews’ skin was seen glistening and she admitted that it was “completely sweaty” and that she “needed a shower.”

One fan replied, commenting, “Hot flashing!” But she was not at all impressed and referenced the comment on her Calm Down podcast.

‘There was one yesterday where someone said, “Erin Andrews, you look so great, you have a glow, what are you using?” And I said it’s hot, we were outside, it was 90 degrees on the field!’ she replied.

“And some wrote, ‘It’s hot flashes,’” Andrews began. ‘Shut your mouth. Quiet. Quiet. It’s been outside for five hours. Enough.’

The video itself, which was posted on the podcast’s official page, was captioned, “Menopause jokes aren’t funny,” with an angry scolding emoji.

Andrews’ podcast cohost, fellow sports broadcaster Charissa Thompson, also seemed disgusted by the social media comments against her.

The host has worked for Fox since 2012 and later became the network’s top sideline reporter for NFL games.

She rose to prominence as a correspondent for American cable sports channel ESPN after joining the network in 2004.

Previously, she covered the Atlanta Braves, Atlanta Thrashers and Atlanta Hawks for the Turner South network as a studio host and reporter.
