FOX Soccer tricked by Neymar impersonator as broadcaster tweets video of injured Brazil star ‘walking through Doha’ before admitting ‘We got’

For a brief moment, Brazilian fans who followed US World Cup broadcaster FOX Soccer on Twitter received video proof of what they had been praying for – proof that Neymar’s ankle injury is not too bad.

The broadcaster tweeted a clip of the iconic Brazil striker – who was reduced to tears when a challenge in the 2-0 win over Serbia injured his ankle – walking through Doha and being mobbed by fans.

“Neymar walking around Doha,” FOX wrote on Twitter alongside the accompanying footage, where “Neymar” appeared to be escorted through a crowd by a member of the Brazilian entourage, decked out in team uniform.

He was seen in tears as he stumbled around the Brazilian couch and was treated with ice packs.

He is not expected to play in Brazil’s last two group matches, against Cameroon and Switzerland.
