Four-year-old boy is hit and killed by car at North St Marys

A four-year-old boy has died after being hit by a car in Sydney’s west.

The child was hit by a Ford sedan in Glossop Street near North St Marys at about 12.05am on Monday.

NSW Ambulance paramedics treated the boy at the scene before he died on the way to hospital.

The male driver was taken to Nepean Hospital for mandatory tests.

NSW Police have set up a crime scene.

An investigation has been launched into the incident.

The crash came just before a separate incident in which a 12-year-old boy was rushed to hospital after being run over by a car in a driveway on Greenacre Road in Greenacre at 12.30pm.

He suffered leg injuries and blood loss and was taken to Westmead Children’s Hospital in a stable condition.
