At least four people were killed and three others were injured after police said a gang shot at a birthday party in Southern California on Sunday evening.

The shooting, in which authorities say at least people were shot, occurred in Central California’s King City on the 200 block of 2nd Street.

Police confirmed the four fatalities and said three others were hospitalized for gunshot wounds KION.

Of the four deceased victims, only adults, one woman and three men, were identified.

King City Police Chief Jim Hunt said the shooting involved three armed men wearing dark clothing and masks. KSBW reported.

The gunmen are said to have arrived at a birthday party, opened fire and then left in a car.

The police have said they are looking for a silver Kia. No arrests have been made in the case.

Chris Lopez, the supervisor of Monterey County where the shooting occurred, said in a Facebook post he was still waiting for details.

“May the victims find strength and healing, may our first responders remain safe, and may we all help restore peace to our neighborhoods and communities,” Lopez wrote.
