Four men found dead in a park in northwest Georgia, investigation underway

DALTON, Ga. — An investigation is underway in northwest Georgia after authorities reported four men were found dead in a park.

Officers were called to Pleasant Grove Park in Dalton around 11:15 p.m. Saturday after reports of shots fired. When they arrived, they found four Hispanic men dead, the Whitfield County Sheriff’s Office said in a news release.

Authorities say they are looking for an SUV and a dark hatchback, both of which were likely hit by gunfire.

The Georgia Bureau of Investigation has been called in to assist local authorities.
