Apple fans left fuming after man uses four generations of iPhones to capture identical videos with same results

Apple users are furious after a new stunt emerged showing that iPhone camera quality has not changed since 2021.

A tech influencer shared two videos — one in a park and one in a city — showing four generations of iPhones taking the exact same photo at the same time — from the iPhone 13 Pro to the iPhone 16 Pro.

Viewers criticized that the difference in quality seemed minimal, despite the $600 price difference between the latest model and the 13 Pro.

This is despite the fact that Apple places particular emphasis on camera quality when marketing its Pro models.

In the TikTok videos, @yuta.tj23 places the phones on tripods to scan the buildings in what appears to be a city center.

Some people did notice the differences, but some consistently said that the older models actually looked better.

One person commented: ‘Why is the 13 Pro better at handling light sources like the sign on the building?’

Another person pointed out the same difference and preferred the older model. He wrote: ‘The 13Pro looks much better, especially with the white light bouncing off that yellow sign.’

However, most viewers wondered what the difference in video quality was, while one viewer wondered if Apple should conduct a similar test.

The second video shows @yuta.tj23 running through a park with the four iPhone models on the tripod to see if speed and angle make a difference.

Viewers responded and collectively agreed that they all look the same, while one person have broken off their review of the camera quality, saying: ‘13 pro still looks great to this day. 14 pro looks a little better.

‘The 15 Pro looks the same as the 14. 16. You can see a difference, the image is much cleaner, but not much better, but somewhat noticeable.’

For years, Apple has bragged about its high-quality iPhones and claimed that its cameras are getting better and better.

The Pro phones cost between $400 and $700 more than their standard counterparts, with an iPhone 16 Pro costing more than $1,600 for one terabyte of storage.

In preparation for the launch of iPhone 16 earlier this month, Kaiann Drance, Apple’s vice president of Worldwide iPhone Product Marketing, said: claimed The phone offers users a more powerful and personalized experience.

Drance said Apple did this by “delivering new ways to explore the world around you and capture memories using Camera Control” [and] a 48MP Fusion camera that gives you two optical quality cameras in one.

“This is the perfect time for customers to upgrade or switch to iPhone.”

Still, users seemed less certain after watching @yuta.tj23’s TikTok video, noting the similarities between the models. For example, one person wrote, “Hmm, so I don’t need to upgrade after all.”
