Fossil once seemed more committed to Wear OS smartwatches than Google or Samsung, but the company has now confirmed it is getting out of the smartwatch game and will no longer make models.

This isn’t a huge surprise considering the last Fossil smartwatch – the Fossil Gen 6 – launched in September 2021 and since then there hasn’t really been any indication that a Gen 6 series of devices is in the pipeline anywhere.

The Fossil spokesperson said that existing Fossil smartwatches will continue to be supported “for years to come,” so if you already have one of these wearables on your wrist, you’ll still be eligible for updates in the near future.
