Fortnite‘s newest season, Wilds, has arrived and taken the Autobots with him. The last cinematic reveal trailer of the season showed the giant new hole in the center of the island from Chapter 4, and the fact that Optimus Prime was waiting to be awakened at the bottom. The new Transformers collaboration brings with it a variety of new weapons, but the season also has plenty of changes of its own, including raptors, new movement mechanics, and new stealth mechanics.
The flashiest additions in Chapter 4 Season 3 come as part of Fortnite‘s new Transformers collaboration, including Optimus Prime himself as the level 100 battle pass reward. The partnership also brings with it the new Cybertron cannon that launches massive exploding projectiles.
Among the other additions this season are a variety of vines to slide on and canopies to battle in the center of the island – where the new hole and giant jungle are. Players can also slide on mud to get a short speed boost. After sliding over mud, you’re under it, which also camouflages you Fortnite‘s new thermal DMR as well. Perhaps most importantly, the new jungle in the center of the map is also full of birds of prey for players to ride, much like wolves in previous seasons.
Like everything Fortnite seasons, this one also comes with its own unique battle pass, which includes a variety of jungle and adventure themed skins. A free version of the battle pass is available to all players, but the premium version costs 950 V-Bucks if you want the chance to earn every unlock.
Fortnite Chapter 4 Season 3 runs until August 25.
