Every few seasons, Fortnite hosts a live event that bridges the gap between the end of the current offering and the next season. Players step into a special experience, in squads of up to four, and take part in shared objectives, large-scale spectacles and sometimes musical experiences. In the past we’ve piloted giant mechs, flown around a black hole, and sat on platforms while the map collapsed around us. Downtime follows the end of live events, so make sure you get there before it’s over.

Fortnite is set to host a new live event that will bridge the gap between the current OG season and whatever comes next. Eminem is involved, and in a way so is LEGO. It’s turning into quite a show and is aptly dubbed the ‘Big Bang’ event.

The following Fortnite The Big Bang live event is scheduled for early December and so far we have few official details on what to expect. There have been a lot of links, some of which point to new modes and links, but Epic Games is keeping the curtains firmly closed for now. Either way, it’s live events like this that will endure Fortnite interesting, and that makes it one of the best Battle Royale games out there.

Fortnite the Big Bang start date and time

The Big Bang is a Fortnite event starting on Saturday, December 2, 2023 at 2:00 PM ET / 11:00 AM PT / 7:00 PM GMT. The experience will be available 30 minutes early on the Battle Royale tile in Discover, so you can start equipping your cosmetics before the event.

How long does the Big Bang event last in Fortnite?

While Epic Games hasn’t yet detailed the exact timing of The Big Bang in terms of how long it will last, we do know that the downtime for Fortnite’s next season is set for December 2 at 11:30 PM ET / 8:30 PM PT. , 2023, and 4:30 a.m. GMT on December 3, 2023. Whether the live event will run all the time that day remains to be seen, but hopefully it will be active long enough for everyone to jump in and experience the Eminem concert , and what else is planned.

What to expect from The Big Bang Fortnite event

In terms of what to expect from Fortnite’s The Big Bang event, it’s officially described as an experience that “marks a new beginning for Fortnite and features an appearance by Eminem.” Other than that, few details are available at this time. Interestingly, there is a new loading screen in the game, featuring the same LEGO loot Lama as the toymaker Recently tweeted. LEGO will likely play a role in the event in some way, but for now it’s unclear how it will be involved.

In recent months, many prominent Fortnite leakers have hinted at new modes coming to the game. These include a rhythm game mode, a racing mode and a LEGO tie-in. Now that LEGO is attached, it is leaking @FN_Assist has commissioned the official promo image for the event to draw connections to the other two rumored modes. You can see this in the tweet below:

As you can see in the tweet above, both musical instruments and vehicle tires are shown, alongside the LEGO loot llama. This could refer to new modes making their debut during The Big Bang. We’ll have to wait and see if Epic confirms any of these theories before the event. If so, this page will be updated.
