A young girl has died and four people have been rushed to hospital after a car flipped on a rural road.
The eight-year-old girl was driving a black sedan from the Great Wall station at 11.45am on Sunday when trouble arose on Millstream Road near Fortescue, about 400 miles from Exmouth, Western Australia.
The young girl died on the spot.
Two women, aged 29 and 42, were taken to hospital with serious injuries.
Another 35-year-old woman and a four-year-old boy were taken to hospital with minor injuries.
Police are urging anyone who has information or witnessed the crash to contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
